This is probably the funniest Sonic game. I love Sonic's entrance and his reaction to just about everything. The dialog between him and Caliburn is priceless. I think the Japanese writers totally nailed it with this game and Unleashed. It's the perfect balance of silly and serious. Shame they got replaced by the MadWorld writers... It seems like we were /this close/ to finally getting some proper cartoon humor in a Sonic game (with emphasis on proper).

@BaconStein (part 2) The MadWorld writers have a fighting name. They're mad, crazy insane and... Untrustworthy. Their comedy is absolutely inappropriate for the series, and too childish. Sonic is not Crash Bandicoot. Hell, come to think of it.. Even Crash Bandicoot never had such cheesy comedy (came close to it once, however).

This game is too underrated like Unleashed. Only reason why people hate this game is because Sonic has a sword. I find this a very amazing game. Short, yeah, but it was very great and not as sloppy as Secret Rings. The sword is for speed, which fits for Sonic. And also to fit the plot of the story. Just because Sonic has that sword doesn't make it suck. it sucks because you make it suck.

@austinu812 maybe knuckles...but remember....shadow has his dark pasts and futures...even in sonic x...at one point in time he was evil...in shadow the hedgehog...he is seen as evil....depending on what you chose....in sonic the hedgehog 2006...mephiles foretells of his distant future where he is "hated" and seen as "evil" so of the 3...shadow has a right to be a villain in this show....but knuckles...thats messed up......blaze? well....blaze is blaze.....

Seriously, how many of you knew from the VERY beginning that the girl was gonna be the final villain? I had no clue how I knew, maybe it was because she knew too much yet seemed unable to do anything about it, or how she would disappear and reappear without warning or how she was constantly bitching about that stupid scabbard, not really sure but eh.
