Offshore welders earn $2,775.00 per 84 hr. work week. If you would like to go to work Offshore, send me your email address. Note: Sad to say, most welders will not seek Offshore work no matter how much it pays because they cannot do a 1 week, or 2 week, or any shift without their daily beer. No beer Offshore. If you cannot go without your lethal liquor, don't apply for Offshore work.

How old? I"m 50. My Dad's 73, and he can still burn it in there like slickum. Too many welders in this family,. Even my Grandmother was a welder: shipyard in WWII. My Li'l Sis welds.

best advice... advertise. im 22 and i run my rig at 70 bucks a hour local. hours are decent too. you got to have the will and make the way. no one in my family ever welded. its a passion not a job. there are a few of us " young punks" that still make it happen!

I bought a business in Fort Myers Florida and I spend my days here. The wife has a store in Cape Coral Florida. I am thinking about kayak fishing and I am putting a sail on one at home. I used to run construction jobs all across the country and I do miss it. I started welding at age 11 and still to this day I weld something up. I mostly use my tig machine. I Love Florida and the year round sunshine.

Shame on the younger welders these days, nice shiny rigs, all talk no show, just worried about how much the pay is, not worried about the quality of work or putting in the time to earn a days pay, will switch contractors for a 10 cent raise at a drop of a hat. What a shame!

In Ft.Mcmurray Alberta a pipe welder is making about 38 dollars an hour plus vacation pay [10 percent], plus medical, dental, and pension.We need welders desperately contact Local 488 or any UA local in your area.

$38 us an hour is good pay. Im a coded fully ticketed pressure welder in Australia (cert in all welding processes, all positions, all metals) and get approx $1000 a week. $1 aust = 80c us.

I'm making a grand a week, working here at home, still welding. Sure is good to sleep in my ow bed (when I sleep at all, lol.)

Not enough. Dallas scale is 25.85; we still have a lower scale over here in Texarkana, even though we got merged in with 100. I was making 21 something on that job. We're up to 23 something now. That's why I either travel, or work close to the house. This job was only 15 blocks from my house. I walked there some of the time.

Nah, she ain't a fitter.... I was working in my home town at the cop shop, just 15 blocks from our house, so she drove down to the job with the camera and took this video....
