  • she was only 16?!

  • I read a comment that said they thought EMMY sang Christine's songs better. I was so APPALLED!

  • Amazing! <3 Great Voice! Love It!! :)

  • BRAVO! BRAVO! I loove her voice, I can ALMOST hit that note!!! :DDD

  • the very end of this song is cut off.

    I do not approve.

  • It amazes me that she was only 16 when she did this movie.... I'm so jealous of her voice.

  • @KisaLeigh12 You think that's amazing, you should hear Jackie Evancho she's like....11 or 12? Her voice is even BETTER than this. No joke.

  • @OverVermillionSkies i have and i think it is absolutely insane.

  • @OverVermillionSkies No Jackies voice is not better. Your an idiot.

  • @KisaLeigh12 She was 18...

  • @KisaLeigh12 are you serious? she looks very mature and her voice is sooo damn good

  • Phantom of the opera is my all time favorite movie and the music is so beautiful(:

  • This dong gives me chills.

  • I wish I could hit that high note and sound GOOD. I'm no soprano XD

  • my audition song!!!!

  • Love this! <3

  • A ffriend of mine told me to check this track out. Emmy Rossum, who sang this part, was only 17 years old. My God, what a voice for such a young lady! She's fantastic! As for Gerard Butler.... WOW!

  • @PaulieDi She wasn't 17 when she sang this, she was 20.

  • @AngelsDelight2612 Check her imdb page, she wasn't even 20 when the movie was released

  • @jimmbboe2 .. so she was

  • I'm hopefully doing this song for my school:)

  • wo.

  • the first time I've watched the movie, this song got stuck in my head and i long to listen to it... >w<

  • These songs have been stuck in my head for the past week! Thankfully, I love them, so that perfect. :)

  • hugh panero is the best phantom ever!!!! gave me tears

  • Sophie Plummer can sing this brilliantly! Check her version out on one2plum.

The ending is stunning for someone so young! Be prepared for something really special.

  • is this the film or the stage show can not tell

  • Awesome Music....

  • I love Emmy Rossum

  • .....someone please explain to me why there is a discussion of Glee on a Phantom of the Opera song....

  • @CharacterStudio i like glee but seriously? they better not ruin phantom for me!

  • @voice528 agreed for sure. I mean, I'd like to hear some of them do the songs (Lea Michele, Dianna Agron, Naya Rivera, Mark Salling, Matt Morrision) but NOT in an episode. I'd rather they release solo covers of them if they do it.

  • @CharacterStudio as long as they dont use that auto-tune or whatever machine that ruins their voices; also if they dont style it in a pop music sense.

  • lovee these songs

  • AAh i finally found one where Christine is singing!!

  • would love to see PTO again on broadway soon :)

  • Comment removed

  • Great song. But this video had horrible quality unless it was on my end

  • this is my favorite song in phantom of the opera

  • Can glee do this please

  • @Poltercat If Rachel leaves Finn in the end (and tries to leave on a good note), this would be practically perfect. And it's one of the Phantom songs they can do if they don't want the song to be referencing to songs from the musical.

  • @Mike0Powell Yea that's a good idea.

  • @Poltercat They are so overdue for a Phantom song >8

This would sound beautiful from Lea!

  • :D omg this is like a dream :DD iam nuts but yes i ment to say this song is really nice ;D

  • My friend sung this at our school talent show..and nailed it. I was so happy for her! I love you, Alex! <3

  • I can sing this perfectly. (:

  • saw the movie made me cry thats why i disliked it the second dis like

  • saw the movie made me cry thats why i disliked it

  • Nothing beats seeing this at New York. Second place would be this movie. Third place would be the H.B Beal production!

  • i saw at Her Magesties theatre, OMG< ehat a play!!!

  • @Mjrockwithme No, it wouldn't be cheap. I DIDN'T have a front-row seat and it was about $92.00. I'll have to dig out the ticket for the exact price later (Because I'm a weirdo and keep the tickets for every show I ever go t).

  • seeing this on broadway next month :)

  • @PuNcHxBuGgYx3 thats awesome, would you please tell me if you enjoyed it? i'd like to see it for my birthday :)

  • oh i thought her name was kristi. how was i supposed to know i was forced to watch this movied and did not really like it but i love this song

  • i hate opera under all circumstances but i love this song ans ONLY this song

  • :D :D :D Me likey Me will remember :) Trust me!! I soo Will!!!!

  • saw the movie

gerard bulter has a sexy voice lol

  • she's so breathtaking

  • This isn't Sarah Brightman, is it? Doesn't sound like her.

  • @AdamJLemon Nope, it`s Anne Hathaway

  • @AdamJLemon it isn't Sarah Brightman. This version is sung by Emmy Rossum

  • @AdamJLemon This is Emmy Rossum's version from movie Phatom of the Opera (2004 version). Honestly I haven't heard Sarah Brightman's version, but I think this emmy is astonishing that she was only 18 when singing this :)

  • I just saw the musical last night. Just as mind-blowing as expected.

  • Think of me!

  • Saw this on broadway and it was just, just amazing. Such good special effects and so much emotion.

  • oh yeah...Sarah Brightman ALL the way

  • @animecosmo it's Emmy Rossum, not Sarah Brightman

  • omg how lovely

  • love his voice

  • I was not impressed with Emmy Rossum. She has a nice voice, but I didn't think it was strong enough for Christine.

  • @dancophobe1 - I also have a hard time believing someone who sings this song in this way would be so well received by the opera snobs in the audience. I still have a hard time believing they chose this recording as the final product for the movie.

  • @blackleatherrain Not everone that sees opera is "snobs". I went with a group of 150 kids from my highschool (Califronia to broadway) And seeing this show was the highlight of most of our trips. Over meeting professional directors, rehearsing with nyu, preforming in New York city the majority enjoyed this musical

  • emmy rossum is such an amazing singer. can't believe she was only 17/18 when she did this movie.

  • my friend started singing this song to me on a field trip she sang this in the talent show

  • My friend Laura played this on piano at a school talent show she dedicated it to her dad who passed. It made me cry.

  • i love this movie, i wish i had the dvd

  • does anyone else want to cry at the whole ofthe phantom soundtrack and sotry? the music makes my chest feel lie it's bursting. when i saw it in london could hardly stay in my seat. i can't describe when this wonder show does to me.

  • @Punkyfish0011 amazing how theater can just grip your soul like that, huh?

  • i saw this on broadwa. i loved it. i love the songs, movie, and broadway

  • I saw this on Broadway and it was one of the most amazing productions I've ever seen. I'm a huge theatre buff and I've loved this musical long before I saw it on Broadway but when I watched it live, it was nothing like I've ever experienced before in my life

  • i was singing this at my bffs house, and she randomly came up to me and said "when people die, they soil themselves!" ya just thought I'd share that with you...

  • In my chorus at school my friends sang this and she did SO good.

  • i just saw it 2day it was amazing

  • I've seen in on stage. The movie doesn't do it justice, and I'm sure it's far better on stage in Toronto. Very good stuff. That movie was a bastardization at best.

  • I completely agree.

  • i've always wanted to this on broadway, but i love the movie..this version anyway i haven't seen the others

  • Will never watch the movie. the 1988 version is good enuf for me! ;)

  • Love this Movie We Just got Done watching it in school. Beautiful Songs and Great Movie

  • I saw it in London 10 days ago...very good version...on march at Adelphi Theatre - London "Love never dies", second act of phantom is on!

  • Christine has a beautiful voice.

  • @jackiehallam62: She's not the original christine.

  • I remember i watched phantom of the opera in 6th grade. I loved it!!!! i love t he phantom of the opera! the songs are soo good as well as the play! i saw it in chicago!

  • I actually saw it 3 weeks after the end of 6th grade on broadway

  • I went to it in Saskatoon, it was amazing and I cried! I loved it so much, I hope that someday I will have the chance to go to it on broadway, I do have like seventy more years to live Lmao

  • I saw it on broadway and it was amazing, it's totaly worth it, the music, the acting, the special effects...

I would go see it again without hesitating

  • I saw it in Toronto in high school, it was awesome.

  • i love it too!!

  • So beautiful!

  • I would go into hysterics if this came back to broadway. My life wont be complete until i have seen this show.

  • I agree! I would kill to see it... Maybe not kill but yeah... It'd be great...

  • Haha well there wouldn't be much i wouldn't do to see it thats for sure, i don't think it will ever come back to Australia though thats the sad thing, but that just gives me an excuse to travel =]

  • God knows I would kill to see this...this is like the jailbait of productions lol

  • I totally agree. It's just one of those things you have to see in theatre. I also really want to see Evita. I didn't get the chance to see it this year.

  • It's still on broadway. It didn't close.

  • Watch it in London :p

  • That would meen my dreams come true lol

  • I'm definitely going to sometime this year, it's worth any stupid amount of money! But ofc I'll be studying there, but you could combine it with a Eurotrip or something :p

  • u have to go see it.. it is the best show ever

  • I can't get enough of this song.

  • OMG!!!! i saw this on broadway on friday april 10th!!! it was majestic

  • LOVE this song

  • Wow. This is a beautiful song. I love it! Thanks you so much! =D

  • I love this song. :) :)
