  • Does the H100 not come with enough screws to mount 4 fans to it? Where did you get your screws from? What size are they also? Thanks

  • @Syrius187 Comes with a enough for 4 fans, but for this particular config I needed slightly longer ones that wouldn't mess up the radiator grill. Went to Home Depot and got sheet metal screws (Phillips head) that are 6/32 x 1.25 (for the top fans), then touched up the tops with a little black paint.

  • Is that a wedding ring?

  • Whats the name of your active Ram cooler pls

  • @Catworrior That is the Corsair Airflow pro LED unit that sits on the Airflow Pro 2 fan set. It works with Dominator memory that has the DHX Pro technology.

  • I would have ditched that silly ram cooling to make room for the rad and push pull inside the tower. The air flow created by the 4 fans on the rad would cool everything just fine im sure. That is unless you have crazy OC on your ram.

  • Dude overclock your CPU to see how much more it cools the system coz at such low clock ofc it wont be much different

  • I would have made a new fuckin video lollll

  • Can i not use two 200mm fans as my pull fans? I just bought two of them and i'm consider to buy Corsair H100 but i want it to be in pull, push configuration. Is there will be any dramaticly performence drop?

  • @Xardas955 I really wouldn't know if there would be a performance drop. CFM (cubic feet per minute) doesn't really count when using a rad cooler...static air pressure (SAP)is what matters. The Megaflow stock fans have more cfm, but less sap than the Scythe fans. You certainly CAN use the stock 200mm fans and I would guess they would be sufficient, but not quite as much as using some good 120mm fans as the pull fans. Perhaps someone will come along who has tried that configuration.

  • @Xardas955 Using bigger than 120mm will result in poor temps. As the air will sucked from the outside edges of the rad, because the fan is larger than the rad its self. Get a couple 120mm fans. They are cheap.

  • @ownTer yeah i would but i already have two 200mm red led fans of the top and I dont want to change them.. well i gues i will have to use push pull under those fans...

  • I mean, only the airflow (wthout the LED part)

  • @phoenixlala It MIGHT fit with the pull fans located in the interior of the cae, but the push fans will still be right up against the Airflow. Better to place the two pull fans at the top of the case underneath the top housing IMHO. That will give you some nice room between the push fans and the Airflow fans. I've since reinstaled the Airflo LED unit and still have some good clearance. Everything fits well in the HAF X.

  • can you use push/pull and the memory airflow on the haf x or it wont fit?

  • I'm very good at applying TIM and the difference for me was around 10c from the H70 to H100. I'm using i7-930 @ 3.8Ghz and my max temp is 65c during very hot days and around 62c now. I used to get around 75c with H70.

  • halimaw

  • @tobiurrutia maraming salamat sa 'yo

  • what is that led ram cooler? link or name please :)

  • @TheJustin574 That LED unit is the Corsair Airflow Pro. It sits on top of the Corsair memory Airflow fan unit. It inidcates by LED the memory activity of each stick and the temps. In order for it to function, you must use Corsair memory modules that have the Corsair DHX technology. A small connector on the stick feeds the data into the LED unit. Just go to Corsair's site and sear ch "Airflow Pro".

  • Did you set the both pipes into the push fans or did you set one pipe for push and another one for pull? I am about to purchase the H100 and I don't quiet understand it working. Btw thanks for this informative video. It really helped me out for some other issues. :-)

  • @ToGetIsToGive If I understand you correctly: the two fans inside of the case are blowing air INTO the rad (exhausting out), while the two fans on top of the rad are pulling air OUT of the rad and blowing air out of the case. In other words, you could say that both pairs of fans are in an exhaust configuration.

  • @Dechomai I see. Thx for your fast reply. I look foward to seeing more videos :D Sharing is caring <3

  • The h100 is better at higher temps and greater clock speeds.

  • EVERYONE GET THE COOLERMASTER V10

    IT SUPPORTS AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+ LGA1336 LGA 1156, LGA 1155 AND LGA 775

THEY ARE COOLER THEN THE H100 AND ALL THE LIQUID COOLING

THEIR TEMPS ARE ABOUT 25 DEGREES CELSIUS

  • @kevinspl2000 People will consider it just as soon as you fix your caps lock button. As in every cooler, there is no such thing as "one size fits all". I've seen comparisons where the H100 beat out the V10. And there are space considerations, including whether or not one wants to have free access to their memory slots (which the V10 disallows). The V10 is a good cooler, but again, not the one and only answer....and especially NOT better than custom watercooling solutions.

  • @Dechomai it is better and it also cools your ram + it looks awsome

  • @Dechomai anyway it does nearly all because ot has diffetent brackets to be compatible with the cpu

  • Does the H100 come with 8 or 16 screws ? i ask because i want to build a push&pull config too...

  • @Tuningfreak899 I do not rightly remember how many..but I believe it was more than 8. HOWEVER...a lot of people have complained that the stock screws messed up the grill on the rad. Most are recommending commercial sheet metal screws that are 6/32 x 1.25. Then just get some flat black touch-up paint to coat the heads.

  • @Dechomai ok THX!!

  • awesome review. think this will be my next upgrade.

  • He's right, these Corsair stock fans are ungodly loud! I've got two H70's and first thing i did after installing the first one was ditch the horribly loud Corsair fans for some CoolerMaster Sickle blade fans.

  • Weird. I get about 67-68c tops load in prime 95 small fft's with a i7 950 @ 4.0GHz with hyperthreading on, using a corsair H70. Although I have two excaliburs with shrouds on it. They have really high static pressure. Static pressure is what matters with these thick radiators, not CFM btw.

  • @LordJummy Yup. That's why I'm using the Corsair stock fans (push). Static pressure: 1.6 to 7.7. Excalibur static pressure: .75 to 3.53. Like i mentioned in the update....1/2 hour on Prime 95 and the CPU doesn't get above 55C. I'm happy with that.

  • nice video thank you for taking the time to make it,....I myself am using the H80 and and getting great temps

  • Anyone done a Vid with V10 Vs H100 ? in crossfire or sli ?

  • Why wouldn't you leave 2 megaflow 200mm fans up top?

  • @LLostSoul1976 The 200's do not have enough static pressure to use with a rad...needed to match the push of the Corsair stock fans as close as possible; the Gentle Typhoons do that.

  • Where did u get longer bolts & what style/size are they? Thx.

  • @dman708 I got the long bolts from Home Depot. They are 1.5 inches long and size 6/32....round Phillips head. I took a little black touch-up paint and painted the heads of them so they wouldn't reflect light back up through the top panel mesh. I probably could have gotten away with 1.25 inch bolts, but I wanted to be doubly sure the rad was secure.

  • ADDENDUM TO THE UPDATE: I failed to mention that I switched the fans around and now have the Corsair stock fans pushing, with the Gentle Typhoons pulling...all fans are on Medium setting.

  • UPDATE: Replaced this unit with a new one and it's working....so far. Got all my fingers and toes crossed...which makes it difficult to eat or walk. 1/2 hour on Prime 95 and it doesn't go above 55 C. Good enough for me.

  • Nice comparison!

  • Very nice video. Answered all my questions. Also thanks for the heads up on the fan controller failing. I was just about to buy one but maybe I will wait until a new revision comes out. Thank you for the video.

  • @FUzzyBUnnyBOoties You are most welcome. It has since been replaced and (so far) the controller is working. The unit is actually made by CoolIt. From what I have read, they've had some quality control issues in the past. But with the new unit I'm now getting no higher than 55 C on LOAD with the medium fan setting. That's good enough for me.

  • @Dechomai That is very good. I would be happy with 55 also. Please let us know if that unit fails also. I am going to hold off on buying one for awhile just to make sure all the kinks are out of them.

  • the big difference between the D14 and Noctua Corsait H100? For i5-2500K CPU OC 4.7 GHz? Thank you

  • @Ubanium Can't really comment on the difference. Haven't used the D14. I would recommend you check out on the web the temp results of both (i.e. google "D14 review" and "H100 review"). the Hardwarecanucks site would be a good start also. You could also look up both on Newegg and check out the user reviews.

  • WARNING: Take note...tonight I was changing out some fans on the H100 too just see what i could come up with and when i restarted ythe system, the fan controller on the pump ceased to function. tried different plugs, fans, etc.....nothing...nada. i looked it up on the net and it seems that several other people are experiencing the same thing. THEREFORE: I would recommend that everybody hold off on getting this thing until this issue can be addressed by Corsair. Looks like they goofed.

  • @Dechomai Forget the Corsair Solution for Water Cooling.

Just use normal Fan Cooler like Prolimatech Super Mega CPU-Cooler ;)

Or by an real Watercooling system!!!

Your Fans are too loud use an Fancontrol look at Lamptron FC 6.

and u have prety nice PC System keep going.

  • @num351 Getting better temps with the H100 than that Prolimatech can dish out..sry. And i like the low footprint. As for the fan noise, I now have the GTs pushing with the stock fans pulling (medium speed)....load temps dropped to around 57C. Noise level is quite acceptable. What you may have heard in the vid was also the AC running...it's pretty loud actually. I wil still be RMAing the cooler though.

  • Comment removed

  • i7 970 3.6 ghz idle 19c load 30c not sure my room temp but my ac is usually on..

  • @KINGhotaru11 OK...so you're saying that the H100 has cooled your CPU down to 19c (66f) and on load it doesn't get any higher than 30c (86f)? That would mean that your ambient room temp is somewhere in the 40's at least. Where do you live? In a walk-in refrigerator? No flame intended, but I would check your mobo sensors and/or the program you are using to measure those temps.

  • I'm using push configuration only n I'm getting better temps than u n I'm using the stock corsair fans

  • @KINGhotaru11 CPU? Overclocked? Ambient room temp? What idle/load temps? Program(s) used to measure/load? Info please.

  • @SixXxShooTeR83 From several sites I checked, people have recommended the GTs over stock fans for rads. I believe the GTs have better static pressure than the Corsair's, yet are quieter. But it would be an interesting experiment. Perhaps I'll do that this weekend and post another vid. The only reason i would want more noise from the system would be so I can't hear my wife yelling at me to do chores.

  • How would say the H100 performs against a RASA RS240 kit? Would it be worth going for the RS240 kit just to cool your cpu?

  • @Rajiv4125 Haven't used that kit, but I would think you would get better results with it. Another pro would be that it is expandable to include GPU cooling. I've seen quite a few good reviews and no bad reviews on that kit.

  • hey im building a gaming pc its the first time i do it so i don't know much about it and i bought the corsair h100 i have a haf 932 case but im not too sure if i made the right choice because to install it i would have to remove the 230 mm fan in the top but if i would of bought the corsair h50 h70 or h80 i will be able to keep it so what do you think is better intalling the h100 and get rid of the top 230mm fan or return it get an h50 or h80 and only get rid of the rear 120mm fan

  • @argent087 At this early stage it's a bit of a tough call, but if you really like the top exhaust fan and would like to save a few bucks, go for the H80. You will probably get almost the same temps as the H100 (dependent on some factors) and still be able to enjoy the benefits of the Digital Link that's coming out soon (both the H80 and H100 can utilize it). If you want some bling on top instead of the stock fan, check svc.com for Megaflow 200mm red or blue LED fans.

  • I got the Typhoons from Frozencpu, but they are (again) out of stock. I grabbed a couple about 2 months ago when they came in stock...but they sold out pretty quick. There's a huge demand for them, but since the Japan tsunami disaster the distribution has been messed up. Put yourself on their notification list...try Coolerguys also to get notified. I can't comment on the Noctua...haven't used it, but I read it was an excellent cooler.

  • @Dechomai thanks for quick replay i will keep on eye out for them on frozencpu

  • con i ask were u get the Gentle Typhoon fans to buy been looking all over online for them . and do u thing the h100 is better than the Noctua NH-U12P SE2 ?
