great race from beach. but ya gotta give it to shadow play, he (shadow play) probibly came home in 25:4. you could see how bad miller wanted it, and that little horse paced so hard his head went with his stride. lol

Prior to the race, I thought Shadow Play or perhaps Blueridge Western (specifically because of his post) may have a shot at reeling in the "Beach". However, SBSW was not going to be denied the Breeder's Crown title. Take nothing away from ALL those participants who paid into this great event. They've got "guts" to drop in against the Beach and "dreams" to follow. With that said, SBSW may be the BEST standardbred pacer ever to race. If nothing else, he is certainly among the elite.

What an amazing colt. I'm sad we won't be seeing him race anymore. But, at that speed, better he retires now, than after he's hurt. But you know, at that speed, they're all pretty amazing.
