Hmmm... I had a Kadett E GSi ez 10/1984. The Kadett D was ended at the end of '84. My first GSi had the old 1.8i-OHC 115hp engine from the Kadett D/Ascona C (bad torque 151nm@ 4800rpm) My 2nd Kadett GSi was a 1989 2.0i16v 150ps and that bastard would whip 325i's, Porche 944 S's and Golf GTI's were a joke!
Ive got cavalier mk2 sri 1.8e model,it has done over 300.000ks and it still kicks ass!!I just cant kill it,it goes and goes. + its the only one in Australia...
it´s build rapidly from ´83 until ´84 because off the horrible Kadett SR. In 1985 there was the Kadett type E GSI 1.8 8v. The Kadett D GTE is one off the best and cars, Opel ever made. Mine never broke down, and is still running at 325.000 km.
