I do agree with you that they didn't need to sprint hard and commit a foul, but if you are in the NBA that means you are the best of the best, and should hustle on every play and expect the unexpected. Jog back and get the rebound, not sprint AFTER he misses the dunk, if he runs before he misses the dunk (like I said) he gets there and prevents 2 points.

@XuShoe Yeah I completely disagree. Having played basketball, I know that it took me 5.2 seconds to run from one goal to the other goal at full sprint. Kobe was at the 3 point line when Davis was at the half court line. After Davis missed the dunk it took him 3 seconds to pick up the ball and 2 more seconds to dunk it. If Kobe jogs, he gets there and forces a contested shot. But he doesn't, he, and the entire Laker team walks up the court. Pathetic, and embarrassing.
