Ive heard a lot of great things about APMEX but I go out of my way to NOT use them. They charged me a cancellation fee on an order they couldnt fill in the first place. Also, its interesting to hear the gentleman quoting prices in dollars. The american dollar may be in for rough waters but it is still the reserve currency of the world. People should not forget that.

Apmex has good pricing..but i won't use them agian because of their policy on payment with debit or credit cards(which is what I always use)..what they don't show you until you go to check out is that they charge a high fee for CC payment..I purchased a tube of 20 1 ounce rounds from them and they add fee of about $35 for paying with a credit card...the shipping was about $13 as well..figured into the price you are adding a little more than $2 per round over the spot..there are better options.

Look, this coupon is just silly. Like thanks a ton Jeff, it's really cool to get money off on stuff, but it's really just a bad move by Apmex. I mean think about it. If you were planning on buying 1500 dollars worth of PM, you could just use the coupon code 15 times and bought in 100 dollar increments, and get 150 dollars off instead of just buying 1500 all at once and getting only 25 dollars off.

put it into perspective, a dealer doesn tmake that much on precious metals its about quantity...apmex sells generic silver for $0.49 over spot, that means they amke 50 cents on each ounce they selll, what other product do you knwo of that sells for $0.50 more than the company bought it for?

Well Ive worked in retail and when cables cost 1-5 and sell for 99 and up.. whos screweing you more.. you look at the market rates for metal you like it you buy it you dont you dont buy it.. its like buying it from a company that makes a product.. They sell it cheap to a distributor who sell it to a store after they mark it up a bit too.. so something thats cost 20 cents to make then 40 cents after the other people touch it then you pay 30 bucks for it..

I've purchased over $60,000 worth of silver from APMEX over about 10 separate orders. Never a problem with APMEX and always a fair price from them. If you purchase silver from e-bay then always compare the e-bay price with the APMEX price for the equivalent amount of silver. Whenever I bid on e-bay for silver, I keep a window open for APMEX and compare the price. Over the past ~ 4 months APMEX gives a better price for silver purchases. > 4 months ago you could often get deals on e-bay. Not now.

Gold has been dropping for a while and it SUCKS if you want to sell, have to wait around for the next high (1300+ an oz is high enough for me to sell) tried to sell a few months ago when it was high but failed miserably due to getting jerked around with the instore mall guys and all of my local pawns and there is no way in hell im going to ship it out, sold some a while back and everything worked out well at a pawn shop exact price that it is worth but they closed down since. need some silver

APMEX also BUYS silver and gold (depending on what form it's in), and they offer pretty decent value. You can also trade in for other merchandise (i.e. gold for silver), but the minimum for such a transaction is, I believe, $1,000, not a problem if you have even an ounce of gold.

Give 'em a call, and see if they're interested. You don't have to close the deal if it doesn't suit, but they won't jerk you around. =^[.]^=

Apmex is an extremely reliable dealer. I've been buying gold and silver bullion from them since 2001. Of course back then silver was $4.20 per ounce and gold was $260/per ounce.

I've ordered a number of times from APMEX. They're very professional, shipping is fast and secure. They do have a minimum order of 50 bucks, so you might as well order 100 to use the code.

Also, if anyone is going to buy, purchasing with a check, MO, or bankwire gets you 3% off S&H. I find the bankwire to be super easy, you just print off what they give you, go to your bank and tell the teller to wire them the money. You will need ID and maybe your social security card with you though.
