Allow for Drainage in your Self Watering Containers

I have planted mint and fenugreek in my balcony.They are in regular containers.But we are going out on a vacation for a week.Is there a way to convert these containers into self watering containers?

Please guide me,I dont want to see my plants drying out.

LOL. I'm hoping for them too. When I transferred them, I said that i need to poke a hole for drainage, but was too lazy to do it. Lesson learned.

Gotta keep grandma in check. Don't want her ego getting out of control. Lol.
