I had scalextric when I was a kid, this stuff has been around for years without revealing my elderly age.

I remember the controller had this warm feel and ozone electrical smell to them, funny how the mind remembers smells from a very young age.

I remember those controllers! I had a set about 20 years ago (which has long been thrown out), but the new ones don't smell like that anymore, which is probably a good thing.

I am thinking back to the early 70's, maybe even earlier.

They used to get so hot you had to have a rest from racing. Your video really brought back some distant memories.
