On dead line zone,get all the X power you need.then keep doing tricks.wen the star is spinning really fast.go Into a special stage fast.then wen you get back,all the x power that u had earlier(red) it stays.it works

Protip: When you fail it the first few times and run out of power (not IF but WHEN), when you're back in the level, run left and fall down. There will be a launcher thing. Jump in it, shoot up and jam B to do tricks (and boost power). Fall in it again and shoot up to the nearby rocket. Fly back to the spinny thing, rinse and repeat. I used a similar tactic in Altitude Limit.

@ShantiVitaminC You earn emeralds for blaze when you progress through the game, but with sonic you have to complete these special stages. You can find them in sonics stages, they're like a round thing with a handle that you can grab, grab onto it and use the boost to spin it up and get the bonus stage.

Well i think the bonus stages on Sonic 2as a lot harder. He is slower and you really cant aford many hits, You really had to memorize the stages. In this game, i took the first 5 stones on my first or second try. The last one was quite hard but there are room for some misstakes also and you really feel that you had 100 % controll of the charter,

I LOVED this stage. I love how people find it hard. I realised that I was finding it hard at first because I was watching the stage instead of the rings. You just need to concentrate not letting Sonic get hit and the rest should just happen naturally. . .

On special stage 6 you have to collect 180 rings first, and the first time I got that, I was surprised! You only have to get 310 rings for the Chaos Emerald!

Some people say that Sonic 2's last emerald was harder. Frankly I don't think it was.

THe nice thing is you can do it literally over and over again if you can find a spot where you can charge that boost meter....I wish the sequel had bonus stages like these though, It's classic Sonic for a chaos emerald, but it impliments the touch screen, making it unique to the DS, I like it

prior to recording it, yes. But when I actually recorded it, I used a digital camera that was right up to the screen since I didn't have a video camera at the time. As a result, I had to look at the screen and hold the stylus at awkward angles. I usually don't make as many dumb mistakes, but I've never gotten a perfect. This video was actually one of my first tries with the camera, and I must have gotten lucky, because I tried many times after this and I kept making more mistakes.

the only way i beat this was with the rapid pause trick. Your pause the game, position the stylus where you want to be, unpause, get the rings, pause again, etc.

I got my DS Lite back in Feb, but had this game b4 hand. i beat the whole thing in 2 days, emeralds and all. kinda sad,bu i was proud!

I beat this today after a day of failed attempts. There's an entrance to the special stage near the end of Act 1 where you can constantly trick and backtrack to get back in. I went in about ten times and then got it after dying to time.

The second half is really easy, actually. My main problem was getting the first limit, but once I did that, the emerald was mine on my first try.

sexy job. I had to pause and move the stylus in order to win. I wasn't very good at keeping the stylus in the touch sensitive area. So, when I tried it the normal way, Sonic kept messing up. Might also have something to do with me being left handed.
