PS2 and 360 servers are not linked. You would have to get a 360. Alternatively, your friend could get the PS2 or PC version. PS2 and PC versions are linked.

Probably because Shadow is only a SUPPORTING CHARACTER of the series. Sonic's the real star. I suppose that'd be why the series is called "Sonic the Hedgehog".
