  • Wow! Looks great but...put "you can put ketchup in there"? Whoa, that totally deflated everything you just made. I like some peppers and maybe a little horseradish....but ketchup? That's almost as bad a putting catsup on a hot-dog! ;-)

  • @DickLodge68 hihi catsup, hahah,

  • @JonetteTV Well, yes...catsup or ketchup...neither belong on a cheese-steak sandwich or a hot dog. I included catsup for the old-timers.

  • This came out sooooo great!! Everyone loved it!!!

  • 3:30, i wish i was under that sandwich with my mouth open.

  • Hi Laura, great job with the cheese steaks! My daughter lived right out of Philly and when we visited her we went to Gino's. I'm happy to see that you used far more meat in your sandwhich then they did.

  • i guess this is my best cheesesteak experience, i had never heard of it before

  • my best is in italy

  • Lol my best cheesecake is my mom's homemade cheesecake :D it taste so delightful!

  • my butcher won't slice it so thin he says its to hard how can i do it at home :(

  • @hanadina123 go to a new butcher. I go to a small family store and they slice the beef for me using a machine. It takes about 3-4 mins max. You can also put the beef in the freezer for a few mins to make it easier to slice. Your butcher is lazy.

  • @hkRN83 YEA I GOT THAT COMING ANYWAYS THANKS :)

  • YYUUPPPPPPP you guessed it!! THIS is whats for dinner tonight!! =D yumm thanks so much for all the great ideas! ps my pumpkin cupcakes with cool whip frosting came out GREAT! everyone loved them! i served them in plastic cups lined with ghram cracker crust and a spoon =)

  • how do you get the meat sliced so thin?? anyone?

  • @searstower75 BUTCHERRRRRRRRRRRR

  • @searstower75 my market sells packets of them thinly sliced but i have also asked my butcher to cut a 1 pound piece of sirloin very thinly on a meat slicer and he did. Try asking your butcher if you can't find them already cut that thin, i'm sure he would love to help. :)

  • @LauraVitalesKitchen Your LAURA?!?!? You commented?!?!? Oh God, I feel like I'm talking to a celebrity!!! Which in my case, you ARE......Your too good for FoodNetwork. You shouldn't go there.....they should go to YOU!!! Your amazing, and so are your recipes. Stay up, girl!!!

  • @searstower75 I've heard it suggested that you partially freeze (only partially!) the meat so it's easier to slice it thinly without tearing, and use a very sharp knife. It sort of worked for me the one and only time I did this, except it was tedious so I ended up still taking thicker slices anyhow

  • @searstower75 a sharp knife, of course

  • @searstower75 I agree with Laura, you may have a hard if not impossible time getting the Deli counter at a Regular supermarket to do this but when you go to a Butcher shop they can do this for you :)

  • @searstower75 Freeze your meat and then slice when still slightly frozen. Freezing wont effect texture or flavour as you are slicing it so thin anyway :) Hope I helped

  • You didn't say: And I'll see you next time, but ''see you''.

Hehe, always those small details ;)

  • Frist off love your videos Laura. The best Cheese Steak that I have ever ever had was when I was in Philly, and that was at Pats.

  • Walmart has an aluminum nonstick grill that spans across two burners. I think it would be ideal for cooking cheesesteaks, like a small commercial grill.

  • Yumm !

But I would appreciate it if you did videos on making chili , taco meat , & sushi :) thanks .

  • LOL too juicy it was dripping all over ^-^

  • Looks great- where can you get thin sliced steak lik in the video?

  • Oh please you all grow up. Laura, love the video and recipe. Great job!

  • i hve´nt tried cheesesteaks, but it looks really good. I am difinetly going to try it on... ps. love you and your show!!! ;D <3 love Anna

  • theres many ways to make this.. n @ chee6060 u need not to b making rude comments on here... this is just lauras take on it thats all.. rude! Laura I <3 u and ur recipes :) thank u for them!!! XX

  • LAURA! hey! I love this! I added you in FB but you didn't accept! Can you please?

  • i had no idea what a cheese steak was until i watched this

  • Eff.Yew.See.Kay. I am FOAMING.

  • @chee6060 first of all if your such a pro then you should know that cheesesteak is one word and not two. I lived in Philly for years and had my share of Pat's and Gino's so trust me when i say that this is how it's done around here. I agree that using Rib eye is a good choice of meat, however it's not written in stone that you can't substitute a different kind. I use sirloin because it's easier to find at any market. Also i am pretty certain that most people don't have meat slicer in their home!

  • @LauraVitalesKitchen You even said right in the video multiple times you can substitute. As always, awesome video Laura!!!

  • @LauraVitalesKitchen Tell them again girl!!!! By the way thanks for making me hungry!!! Great video...... now I'm on my way to Geno's;)

  • @LauraVitalesKitchen you tell him lol btw pats and ginos are gross pagonos and ims is where its at.

  • @LauraVitalesKitchen I completely agree with what you said. By the way, I love your videos. You inspired me to make dessert. <3 keep making more please =)

  • @chee6060 Oh look at mr. badass making fun of a girls cooking. Fucking fat fuck. I bet you your mommy still makes you your little Rib Eye sammies everyday you grease fuck.

  • @chee6060 You're from Philly. So was the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Woop-dee-doo. That doesn't mean you get to boast how the Gods of Cheesesteak (or something) set in stone how to make it. Let the woman cook, she's clearly shown her expertise for quite a while. All you've shown is that you're a pretentious dick.

  • @chee6060 Please get that stick out of your ass. Thank you.

  • @chee6060 I hate people who claim there's only one way to cook something. That's not how YOU like cheesesteak. I can eat it anyway I want to and I like her way so step off.

  • @chee6060 Sorry, but you are an idiot. Shoot yourself. And do it right, I bet you know how. ;-}

  • @chee6060 woww this is her recipe of her cheesesteak and you can judge it .Go kill yourself

  • @chee6060 What if I use chicken? Whatcha gonna do? :3

  • @chee6060 I live in Phila to, and she is right rib eye is just a preference. It's called a cheesesteak not a cheese ribeye. Laura used steak just a different cut. The bigges mistake i see in youtube recipes is putting green peppers on it. A cheesesteak should be simple and not loaded with tons of stuff. The more stuff you put on it covers the flavor of the meat. I prefer a few drops of hot sauce on mine to kick it up :)

  • @chee6060 i'd like to see you post a vid of yourself making a good ass cheesesteak. I made Laura's receipe and its good af. thanks for the advice "professional" i guess its how YOU do it right.

  • @chee6060

    Shut the fuck up.

  • @chee6060 if your so good at making a cheesesteak yourself then do a video on it if it doesnt come out good apologize to laura vitale ok if your such a pro do your research yourself if your in ireland back off

  • @chee6060 Well, that's nice to know. You also know that she put the title as "homemade cheesesteak" right? It's homemade. It's not "how to make a philly cheesesteak".

  • Boston's got the best Steak and Cheese

  • Atlantic City. At the airport, they had a cheesesteak place, and I got one there. The interesting thing was they had crab seasoned fries. Those were the star, but the cheesesteak was really good.

  • i haven't had a cheesteak.... :/ im an lonly icelander.. i didn't even know what that was until this video :L

  • i live in saudi arabia>>>> and next to our house they serve the best cheesesteaks ever, because they use a grill and that's what gives the meat a smokey flavor......OOOOH MAN now i wanna have cheesesteaks!!!!

  • @relaximdointhis I got mine from IKEA, think Laura uses the same.

  • I was a short order cook at a drive in ice cream stand years ago and the owner taught me how to make cheese steak subs, Everything the same as yours Laura, but he had a "secret sause" that we put on them that made them extra special! We sold a lot of them.

  • mom???

  • I can't wait for your 300 episodes yaaaay

  • Can you make flan!? :D

  • now I'm hungry.

  • She doesnt smile much anymore :/

  • I'm italian... ''Hi guys I'm Loura Vizalli!'' eheheh.you're so cute Italy loves you <3

  • Wow I thought the sandwich looked a bit dry however you can see the sandwich dripping juice when she bites into it. I wonder if Mr. Vitale is a chunky chicken or if he stays fit with all that delicious food? Either way he's lucky.

  • you guys saw the juice coming out when she bit the sandwich?

  • I like how Laura isn't all "This is the only way to eat this/cook this" she agrees with personal tastes. A lot of cooks are annoying when they are intolerant of opinions.

  • @AetheraSora if that's a crack at Chef John and his jokes about his recipes' integrity, you're wroooooong

  • @heidishoshana I don't even know who the fuck chef John is so, NO.

  • bolillos lol ;D

  • can you make quesadillas? :)

  • what ever you do i liked

  • how do you get the meat so thinly sliced???

  • @searstower75 my market sells packets of them thinly sliced but i have also asked my butcher to cut a 1 pound piece of sirloin very thinly on a meat slicer and he did. Try asking your butcher if you can't find them already cut that thin, i'm sure he would love to help. :)

  • Laura!!!! Be my chef!!!!

  • 3:30 Thumbs up if you notised that it was dripping!! :)

  • I went to restaurant on new years and for the first time I tried grilled chicken with fettuccine and Alfredo sauce (it was delicious)and i was wondering if you already had a video of making fettuccine with Alfredo or if you could make a video? :)

  • @patsyrunseekrun yeah she does just type fettuccine in her search box. Its sooo easy and good! I've made before so i know
