What's great about these video clips of the Beatles live is you can actually here what fine musicians they were. John's fantastic, tough, metronomic rhythm, George's sweet, countrified lead fills and Ringo's big-beat and original drumming. Paul could really, really rock 'n' roll, a true great vocally and when the boys played Long Tall Sally in this same NME winners concert, I now know John played the brilliant lead guitar here and on the record. John could really play great, hugely underrated.
