  • fuck!! you are jack black!!

  • you're a perfect example of how not to do it - both in technology and in music!

    very poor taste.

  • @vitalizer1000 Stfu idiot!

  • Geeked on gear!!!

  • no delay?? you gotta have delay...delay..delay...delay...delay...dela....del...de....d...

  • What happened to the wah pedal!?

  • You sound like jack black

  • I did not know about or how to fix a nice pedal-board like this untill i watched your video so Thanks alot bro rock On.Maxx Masters NYC Rocker and Actor.Peace

  • Did u experience any hum by using the 1 spot?

  • I would have put the chorus/delay/phase effect at the end of the chain to get the best possible sound, you dont want to distort chorus guitar normally sounds better adding chorus to distorted guitar.

  • @lucasmccann1 Besides the tuner, it is at the end... i think you're confused because people generally put the tuner first up.

    Amp < Pedals < Guitar

  • Thanks for the video... been looking for something like the Pedaltrain for awhile!

  • I was commended!

  • Why is there a Jack Black video in the side banner?

  • @romekdo77 I'm guessing it was a preemptive strike by Jack Black to avoid being sued for impersonating gearmandude.

  • ... NASA aren't aliens... Jack black guys really? I was thinking more Tallahassee due to the boots and accent... maybe a hybrid birthed in an alien spacecraft... that would explain why aliens gave him Velcro....

  • Cool boots!

  • This dude sounds, acts and talks like Jack Black!!!

i wish he had of shown his face.....

  • @SpaceM94 It IS Jack Black you noob, he also plays guitar in a little band!

  • @lund3000 It's not, his name is Eric Whorton

  • @MusicTheCore Haha, I know mate, it was pretty much a joke.

  • @lund3000 well don't i look like a dick!

  • @MusicTheCore Eeehhhh.. What?

  • @lund3000 Nevermind :P

  • @MusicTheCore Aahh, lol, well, it's kinda hard to read how people would say a comment, in real life, haha!

  • can you put a wah on this?

  • Is it a hassle to have to unplug the patch leads when you're not using the board, because the batteries will all drain? Maybe you don't have batteries installed? I use batteries because I busk without mains power.

  • @snowypetrel don't quote me on this but im fairly certain that in you can put daisy chain power inputs (with or without a power adapter) to the pedals and it cuts off the power from the batteries so they won't drain when not in use, most pedals should work like that

  • @nicwoodhouse Aha, that's a really helpful idea, it's easier to plug in a daisy chain to each pedal when I'm not using them, than it is to pull each patch lead, remembering which turns on each pedal (in - Boss DD6. out - Boss rc-2. in - Behringer rv600 and just ordered Behringer po300 which may be the in or the out). Worth having a daisy chain (or just a set of power plugs) just for that, ta.

  • @nicwoodhouse On second thoughts, most pedals revert to power from their batteries if the mains power gets interrupted, so I suppose the batteries would still drain even with a daisy chain or whatever plugged into them (that was not connected to a supply).

  • Anyone know where I can get that nice looking extension cable from? In Australia?

  • @danielcartisano I had exactly the same thought! Our Australian cables are so big compared to that..

  • No Compressor or envelope filter?! what herecy is this!

  • like the concept

  • i'm a bass player and i do really want to have pedalboard

  • @andreasmariosetiawan if you like effects, maybe a compressor, eq, and wah.

  • @marlinm60ss123 @andreasmariosetiawan nah, he can have any effect he wants for his bass sound, not only limited to those with a bass input sticker on them, such as distortion, pitch shifters, phasers, etc, etc....

  • @MrMorelloJr well i know he can, but im just saying the basic pedals for a bass pedal board would be those ones for a good sound. but i know you can use pretty much any pedal

  • Can we see your face i think it jack black haha.

  • can you please tell me what's the name of that? 2:24 (sorry for my english im chilean)

  • @ObeyMetal the tuner or the 1 spot?

  • @nymetsrock the ting to power the pedals

  • @ObeyMetal Visual Sound One Spot

  • velkro rules

  • alien tecnology !!

  • props to black crowes

  • Was blown away by the sound of the Signa at 6:42! Need to buy one of those.

  • thumbs up if u watched the whole thing cause ur geeked as he is on gear (i wish i rlly was)

  • Chorus should go after OD's

  • I like me a pair of those BOOTS lololololololololol...

  • he didn't actually put the camera in place so we can see his face XD

  • will this fit a fuzz face

  • What extension chords do you use?

  • @MrNonoz idk, a regular one? should i get a special one? a box?

  • @calinveres

    I dunno. I was asking.

  • I bought a 1spot and pedaltrain mini but am noticing a soft buzz/hum now. I checked the amp, guitar pickups, cables, pedals but everything works fine individually. I noticed your amp buzzes as well once you hooked up everything. Is the 1spot at fault here? how can i fix this problem? would the pedaltrain jr w/ modtone solve this buzz/hum ? I have a Vox ac15c1 w/ alcino blue & tele if that matters.. thanks

  • are those the snake skin boots of destiny?

  • I've always wondered how to make a pedal board. Thanks a lot for posting!

  • LOL'ed at "VELCRO = ALIEN TECHNOLOGY"

  • Thumbs up if the rehearsal he was talking about was for Tenacious D

  • we use a 1 spot five way ehhhh.... thing?!

  • Hey gearman! The VELCRO....... fuzzy side pasted on the pedals? Or plastiky catch surface.

  • "Neeple."

  • Thanks for the Demo I'm getting ready to put my own pedal board together and I think I'm going with the Pedaltrain Mini. But will I still be a man if I don't use the Lava cables and just by some patch cables?

  • Comment removed

  • i loved tenacious d

  • GMD can you put a standard CryBaby Wah on the PedalTrain Mini?

  • @elvistherollingstone You can, but you probably have to turn it sideways, and you have to use less pedals

  • i dare :)

  • hey what's that cable that connects to your one spot adapter? Over here we usually have to pull the adapter over to the power socket.

  • @themongster It's called a 'daisy chain' and I'm sure he's probably gonna use an extention cord

  • @InterspeciesErotica7 ha ha i know the daisy chain, i meant on the other end! Plugs over here have 3 pins. We pull our adaptors to the wall. Maybe it's just an extension cord - just that i never saw it before!

  • ROCK LOVE IT \m/

  • Planet Waves cable kits are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier.

  • I could use about three of these.....

  • This guy is Jack Black's twin. He's f%^&*king riot. What cracks me up the most is his tone sounds like shit 80's style.

    Real comedy. Funny guy! LOL

  • JACK BLACK!

  • fs, i can't do any of this because i only have blue handled scissors! :(

  • @olivershepherd I tried it with blue handled scissors! IT WORKS!

    don't run with them though...

  • does it have enongh place for a wah on the pedal board?

i have 6 pedals the modtone tuner first

    the wylde wah

    digitech hardwire tl-2 dist

    wylde drive

    ehx lpb-1

    and my un-known voulme pedal...

the voulme pedal will not be on the board..

would it have space for all that?

  • @shreder42 I don't think the wah is going to fit, in terms of size wise.

  • @MKlukowski Jacques trinity wah

  • @shreder42

The only way that can fit on a mini/nano is the Plutoneium Chi-Wah-Wah.

Or the Jacques Trinity but the trigger is a lil bit different.

  • I did watch all of this and loved it. I can't decide if I need to get a pedaltrain jr or a mini for my pedalboard needs. You're awesome!

  • "Plug it up and let it rock"

  • Too thin for JB .. no fuel tank for the sex machine !

  • Thumbs up if You noticed he brought a beer between 2:00 and 2:03

  • @wiiloco111111 i noticed about 2.15 lol

  • i would love to get this board, but i need my modified "dragon" crybaby, my digitech whammy, my ds-1, tu-2, and my morley volume pedal

  • will a wah fit on this?

  • AAAA... aa... aaAAAaaaAAAAA... No, come back! AAaaaaaAaaaaa...

  • dont your distortions have to go first then your mod pedals?

  • @mribnzx they don't HAVE to, but that's common practice

  • it must be jackblack!

  • @STOFFEKOFFE

Eric Whorton! Not Jack Black. Search guitar threads, and you will see

  • haha! sounds like jack black!

  • Hi Gearmandude...i have a question. I am thinking of buying this pedal, but a review on musiciansfriend says that Boss double pedals (ex.DD20) will not fit on this miniboard. Can you please tell me whether that is true or not?

    Thanks....love your vids.

  • @skleung dude, go to PedalboardPlanner (dot) com. You can do a virtual layout of almost any pedals on any of the pedaltrain models. It's sweet!

  • @BradSpead7 thanks, i'll check it out

  • yo gearmandude what guitar and amp were you using in this video??

  • The tuning of the A was by far the best part of this demo.

  • seriously people, this guy aint jack black, jack cant play electric guitar to save his life, this guy is probably a clone, he came from the same place as the Velcro

  • omg this guy must be jack black

  • Theres no way you managed to make those cables so fast, did you hire Lucasarts Industrial Light & Magic to CGI it in afterwards?

  • this guy sounds like jack black

  • I believe the musician's best friend is actually the Leatherman Tool. That joker will fix ANYTHING.

  • Gear demos kick ass.

  • snuck in a beer did we :)

  • NICE! you rock!!

  • dang that chorus pedal sounds really good and these pedals are just small size, i dont image to put boss pedals there or worst a big muff Pi it would take all board space XD...

  • OMG!!! I can't help but laugh cuz you sound just like Jack Black, thats really cool, but i know your not him, his arms and hands are fat, yours are skinny :D

  • yes may the rock gods bless me

  • Very Very Very good man

  • hahaha XD undercover Jack Black??? thumbs up for this badass explanation!! :D

  • I see Jack Black has moved on from Hollywood

  • your some hero dude lpure ledgend

  • wait what? i didnt know you needed to power a pedal :S I only have 1 pedal(distortion) and it works fine without a power cable. can anybody explain?

  • @SakaryaliSazci That because your pedal is power up by a battery. You can either power your pedals by power cable or batteries. It's always better to power up pedals by power cable in order to allow your pedals to obtain the full 9V/18V voltage. Hope this helps.

  • @VeryFiona yes it did! thank you very much! i don't know much yet because i've had my electric guitar for only...2 days now.

  • @SakaryaliSazci the pedal probably has a battery in it :P

  • @Dvir1225 ye som1 already explained

  • dude i fuckin love this guy! his sarcasm is so funny! " everyone wants a personal stripper, right? " lmao... this also was a big help! : D

  • gear man dude is the man

  • Hey dude, I got my pedaltrain mini, 1 spot (came with 8 way daisy) and I'm plugging in this order: Guitar > MXR Wylde > Belcat Analog Chorus > Byinag Analog Delay > Amp. No matter the order, problem is the volume is extremely low. A lot lower than I plug the guitar straight to the amp. What's going? What did I do wrong?

  • @gcastroamaral I had the same problem. I got the pt pro and had like 10 pedals connected. I went to guitar center and got really nice small patch cables to connect the pedals and the problem went away.

  • @gcastroamaral I think you have affixed the velcro incorrectly. This sometimes lowers the volume of the output signal. Hope this helps!

  • Watched all your stuff and loved Jack Black rulez you guys!

  • Yes I'm a gear geek too. Thanks to you gearmanndude I set up my whole pedalboard. Please don't stop doing pedal demos even if I spent my whole life savings on new pedals!

  • In this video you hook all these up through a 1spot, but doesn't the Fuzzy Lady need a 9V center positive power supply? How did you hook it up?

  • What cables r u using??

  • he almost sounds like Jack Black

  • @tubester581 dude i was totally thinking that myself haha

  • hey question is this board big enough for a wah????

  • @1818metallica thats a stupid q u can tell by looking at it

  • @SwanSong2156 Thats not stupid question have u not seen the length of a wah and by the looks of how much room those small pedals are taking up u wouldn't know so next time before u tell someone something is a stupid question think about it urself retard..

  • @1818metallica ok sry buddy just tryinto say theres no way a way would fit on thatt

  • @1818metallica I know! I have a Weeping Demon but I figured that it wouldn't be big enough

  • @1818metallica This board is only 20x7 so no way...

  • @1818metallica i would set it beside the board

  • I am scared of red handled scissors!

  • thanks for the effort!

  • and a delay! you need a delay!

  • jack black

  • man let me say...i love you style!!

  • what's that hissing sound? is that from the onespot?

  • one spot are noisy??

  • ALIENS INVENTED VELCRO

  • Thank you for the video! Very good and clear!

Question: does a regular wah (cry baby style) fit on it?

  • considering it's only 7 inches in width, i would say no. but you could always take your crybaby on the floor and fit the rest of your pedals on this.

  • @41224jason Thank you for the answer, man!
