i have a h22a1 i had the h22 tranny but swapped for a f22 tranny but used h22 5th gear. f22 is longer i pull to 68 in second gear 8200rpm. i kept the h22 5th because its longer than than the f22 hope that helps

I had the f22 5 speed in my 93 accord with an H22a the long gear ration made 3rd gear beastly. and it would push 140 before you left 4th gear.

I have a h23 prelude and the gears are realy short .I didnt like it at first ,but after a seen how it makes it redline when I was racing I realy liked it .When your shifting at 3000rpms 3 to 4 is super short  the same for first.

drive the h23 first then tell me that...

h23 first gear only goes to around 33-35 mph

h22 first gear goes to around 35-40 mph

h23 2nd gear goes to around 55-58 mph

h22 2nd gear goes to around 57-62 mph

but it could be due to that lacking 1 rpm range but the specs on the h23 trans is shorter than the h22 for sure i saw it somewhere but i forgot what the ratios were but im pretty sure the h23 is shorter on the gears, especially in 3rd gear it's really short

They're similar first second and third gears, but h22 has a shorter fourth and fifth

sweet, I have a stock h22a in my 91 accord lx. haven't run it at the track yet though. also, the 94-97 sedan weighs the exact same as the coupe according to consumer guide. and for the 90-93, the sedan is actually 5 lbs lighter.

Yeah you need an H22 to get any kind of power. That was before I dyno tuned the Hondata and a few other upgrades. It actually runs closer to 14.2 now. Not too shabby for a 4 door accord on street tires..
