  • Hi Simi112. Congratulations for your latest works and uploads. BTW: If you don't read the mails that can be sent to you on heatengine.uw.hu, then please let me know ( I just sent a mail to you).

  • !!!

  • "Drinking Bird" some of it has the faster wankel motion n force then this "Puskas paper engine, i think this force is not enought to wankel the Free runing magnet motor :))

  • What about bimetal strips instead of paper ?

  • Yes! I have made these engines of bimetal. The bimetal was made of paper and cello tape or cello tape and aluminium foil, or paper and aluminium foil. These were jointed. It run from sun also.

  • what are the uses of this engine?

  • making birds that drink.

  • Nice.

    great video.

  • bsides sophisticated comments could anybody tell me how it works ?

Please make it simple, I'm stupid !...

In other words why the whole thing moves ???...

  • Hi, there is an explanation and video on puskas engine home page!

Paper strip bends when is near damp. Here I glued together a papper strip and paper sticker strip, so it is bent. I made two it. So those are like as this. ( ) I put a rod those among. (--) Cloth carries damp near to strip from a jar. (--)]

When strip bend gadget balance shall be change. Gadget shall spin.

  • Aaaah !

Your're a genius as you've got the perfect combination of inventing a gadget and be very clear to explain it !......

An unpretentious inventor that doesn't wave off naive people like me.

    Many thanx !!!!...

  • Puskas= wonderful womans name, and also slowly swinging object. Hmm..

    How very different.

    Vax

  • Ok :)

  • Do I get this right, Puskas is your Name? If so, what's your full name?

  • This is not my name. This name is frequent in my country.Puskas is equal in English fusilier but here Puskas is a wonderful lady's name.

    :-)

  • Ok :) BTW I tired both, the spray idea and the wax idea. Spray seems to be rubbish, but the wax/adhesive tape coat (on the inner side of the paper) works nicely. My first two engines are now rotating since several days, with about 1 RPM. The bottle idea is meant to get a strip that is already bended slightly in it's dry state, without the need to manually bend it (which is bad for the efficiency of the stripes). Thanks for making this public!

  • Congratulations to your engines! If You can it, upload a video also. Thanks for your advises !

    :-)

  • It's running now about a week. Again, what's your name? When people ask me, should I say "simi112 from Hungary had the idea" Or do you want me to tell them your real name?

  • Sorry I clicked the wrong "reply" link, but scroll down and read my note about the wax test.

  • I have to say, this is great! Better than the dringking bird, that was a phenomen at that time.

Congratulation, very nice invention. I am currently trying to modify it in order to get continous rotation (contrary to the dringking-bird-like step by step rotation)

    Keep it up! Cheers, cya.

  • Thanks! :-)

If I shall have some time, I try develop it also. This engine can run long time. I have tried with a endless paper ring,.on a reel. So , It was more efficient Unfortunately it ran only some minutes.

  • I think you have to make sure the paper will expand only on one side. Try to use something very thin that will stabilize the inner size, eg. Spray Paint. Maybe you have to put the paper under a wirescreen during spraying, to prevent it from bending from the paint.

I don't know how much this will stop the paper from releasing water again.

It's amazing to see how a thin paperstrip han move up a little piece of metal, so adding little weights to the ends of the blades may (or may not) help.

  • That's you playing guitar isn't it? :)

  • Hi,a my friend is playing on guitar.

  • Ok, I think I have found a very good solution:

Rub a wax candle on one side of the paper until you get a thin, evenly film everywhere. Additionally rub the wax with your fingers, until it gets very fine and equal, with no holes. Make sure not to put wax on the other side. THen take some thin plastic tape and stick it on a bottle, with the sticky side outside! Then put the waxed paper onto the tape, wax side down. It has a great regeneration ability!
