  • @schattensand meine Sympathie!

  • @Stymfalide: I dunno about a piano concerto, but the melody for the tenor aria can be found as one of the themes in the overture.

  • And he spins the tone like no one else.

  • Did Mozart "recycle" the music from this piece? It reminds me of one of his piano concerto's I believe, but I can't put my finger on it...

  • Teh very best. Period

  • he is the only ever

  • wow, wie gut er ist. Er ist mein absoluter Lieblingssänger!!!

  • ¡Que bueno!

  • maravilloso wunderlich. La voz que nos hace amar esta tesitura. gracias por colgar este video

  • The Strauss is even more unbelievable than the Mozart, which is pretty unreal. I only wish more tenors listened to him and decided not to sing! It's wonderful vocally and he is so musical!!!

  • el mejor y por mucho

  • This doesn't sound like Die Entführung aus dem Serail. I don't think it is.

  • it is. the first piece is Die Entführung aus dem Serail. the second part of this video is a strauss piece

  • @Shekhina01 Yes, indeed it is.

  • THE Mozart tenor of his generation and, of course, one of the best lyric voices ever.

  • unfortunately he died to early ....

  • Sublime and unsurpassed

  • The best ever. None compare in recorded history to this talent.

  • Isn't that really great, gorgeous and purely magnificent ?!?

  • Wunderlich has one of the most beautiful, purest tenor voices ever!! His tone is amazing!!

  • Oh GOD his singing is the best. 1:52! He sustains it for ten seconds! And then raises the pitch! Name me any tenor who could do that today! He owns this aria like no one else.

  • Every tenor singing that aria has to do basically the same.. the diffrence is how easily he did it and how beautiful his tone was.

  • @forallyouknow I can and I'm sure there's plenty of others. I'm not comparing my self to meastro Wunderlich but I could do that without much trouble, although not with the same level of maturity

  • Perhaps I ought to clarify--any tenor who could do that today with such beauty.

  • for all I know: you know nothing!

  • francisco araiza

  • simplemente una maravilla cantando el señor de señores fritz wunderlich

  • this is a real pain to search for. if you could put the aria title in the youtube title, many more can view this wonderful recording. thanks

  • Beautiful singing

  • But wait... we go from Mozart to what sounds like a Straussian-sounding duet...

  • but you have to note that what Mozart did with the music is he developed the work witch Bach did and Strauss i think did not write alot of arias for tenor because i think he did not like tenors any way Mozart and all these people are Geniuses unlike all artist today

  • one of the best versions of this aria I've ever heard

  • Great Wunderlich!.
