He actually showed up after sunset(the Hour of the Dragon) to enrage kijoro. He was so mad that he through down his sai/scabbard and let his emotions get in his way. Musashi won before he arrived.
i really dont like what they did with the musashi character. they made him so much more dramatic then the guy from the book and the whole thing with him getting weepy over killing the boy doesnt seem right either.
Musashi tactically showed up late on purpose to unnerve Kojiro, and he timed the tides of his arrival and escape from the island. Also when the sun was at it's most high.
AND despite Kojiro's infamous Swallow Cut technique, Mushashi jumped into the air where the sun shined on Kojiro's eyes, blinding him, allowing Musashi to deliver a one hit blow.
Miyamoto Musashi was a genius in not only in the art of swordfighting, but was crafty in using the forces of nature around him. He was a beast
Ok being a fan of both Kojiro and Musashi it's not right to say the kojiro was not intelligent but rather out smarted and i have come to believe that he was either expecting to lose or was going to retire since he tossed his saya aside, and also it is an insult yo show up to a duel late which musashi did which probably unnerved kojiro.
I think realized it, the sun made Kojiro lost his concentration. Actually, in the novel, Musashi let Kojiro live, because Kojiro fainted and soon died of illness.
Yes. Musashi was extra talented fighter. Yes, this time he used the sun. Also he liked to use "strategic delay", getting late to the duel scene - made his opponetnts lose thei patience and concentration..
Ok Musashi showed up late to the deal when the sun would be at his highest. He jumped in the air and Kojiro couldn;t see him. Since Kojiro lost his sight of him.. he was struck and killed by Musashi
Sasaki Kojiro was also a intelligent man. He was both repspected and feared by many men. Both swordsmen were truly legends. Musashi just had the upper hand and was crafty in his surroundings.

Thx.. I finally understand that Musashi not only posses power but also intelligence, which Kojiro doesn't have.
thegreatgarry 3 years ago
Yup that he did

I wouldn't say Kojiro didn't have intelligence. That's a disrespectful thing to say.

It's true that Musashi seemed intelligent, but that doesn't mean Kojiro wasn't.
