Actually what you are talking about is called thimerosal and most vaccines don't contain it or contain it in trace amounts.

"Trace amounts" or any amount are poisonous and have dire health consequences. Aluminum salts on the other hand are not used in trace amounts. They come in doses as high as 250mg in some vaccines. You cannot marginalize the issue by saying "it's a small amount don't worry" that's like saying "it's a small bullet don't worry" it will kill you either way.
