  • Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television - A wonderful book! I loaned my copy out. Thanks for posting.

  • thanks for sharing!!

  • @s90skank You're welcome!

  • @brynn30

Not so_I can state my opinions about youtube vids and make comments on most webpages and blogs, and it could be argued that video games are interactive (though still a waste of time); the major point is TV is a nonreciprocating form of communication

  • @SpartacusMoriarty What if video games could be considered their own art form and not just a waste of time? Or even an e-sport?

  • man this is ironic, i mean all of the "TV haters" are, first of he is using "TV" to get his message out or even worse the internet where there is even more vile crap than on TV, I mean this is kind of too much, it's common sense that too much of one thing in this case TV is bad for you, but i gues sense is not that common anymore.

  • @Infrardec Well since Jerry Mander is an author and the uploaded clip is from an interview he granted to a documentary filmmaker, I guess I fail to see the irony. His argument is predicated on the premise that technology is not neutral, and that all technologies have inherent in them existing parameters which determine how they will be used. For instance, television is a non-reciprocating form of communication. Messages can be relayed but not rebutted.

  • @Infrardec In contrast, if there is something on the internet you disagree with you can voice your opinion, not so with televison. This makes TV absolutely useless to Democratic communication. It does however become a useful tool for autocratic or authoritarian communication. These parameters are built-in and cannot be reformed.

  • @SpartacusMoriarty TV is perfectly democratic - you can turn it off whenever you like. And about voicing your opinions, well let's just say that nobody cares.

  • @odsotna

I think you need to relearn the definitions of perfect and democratic. Having the ability to turn the television off has nothing to do with egalitarianism. And about inflammatory remarks, arctic monkeys suck!

  • @SpartacusMoriarty Ok again, just for those who can't read properly: NOBODY CARES.

  • @odsotna

Youre right, I could care less that you love LGBT music

  • @odsotna Surely you mean: "for those who can only read in caps".

  • Im watching virtually a 0 hours per day, last time i turned on TV in my home to watch something, it was like LAST YEAR! Youtube is my television lol! Games are my movies :P I dont give a crap if they eliminate television!

  • Amygdalin (hydrogen cyanide, benzaldahyde & glu-cose). Amygdalin, as rendered and refined from the pips contained within apricot stones, is known as Laetrile. Amygdalin (vitamin B17) destroys errant trophoblastic/placental/malignant growth. One should not allow the healing process to run rampant in the first place. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

  • The tyranny inflicted upon foreigners by their outlandish/overseas potentates, kings, kinglets, autocrats, tsars, emperors, chieftains, general secretaries, shahs & ayatollahs is of no concern to Americans, as the United States IS NOT an empire (according to the Constitution).

  • @ThingsTerrestrial Today, the star of Ancient Aliens and publisher of Legendary Times Magazine, Giorgio Tsoukalos, joins Kevin for the entire hour and explains the facts and evidence that aliens have visited Earth. Find out how the technology that they used surpasses our modern technology and how it would be impossible to re-create their feats! ustream .tv / recorded / 13204951

  • In pipes everywhere turds are flowing in large chunks & hunks...in chunky hunks & hunky chunks. Coincidentally to nothing, many "wedding" guests vomit @ fag “weddings.”

  • spoken english by the whites sucks

  • TV-free for almost 5 years now. The first 3 months were agony.

  • I definitely recommend reading Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television. It's among the most interesting books I've been fortunate enough to get my hands on. If anyone would like a listing of similarly themed titles, feel free to shoot me a pm.

  • @DrewTangNYC Check out the book 'The Magic Of Thinking Big' and 'Think And Grow Rich' by Napolean Hill. Two REALLY Good books that will each give you TONS of insight on the world and how it works. AND how you can use natures laws to live a life of great happiness, success and fullfillment.

  • I constantly ask my girlfriend to stop mindlessly watching TV. Most of the time she's so zoned out on it that anything I say barely registers in her mind. She'll just give me an, "ok babe." It's pretty sad. I hardly watch TV, and for that reason our viewpoints on many things are drastically different. I think for myself. She thinks what the media wants her to think. But in her eyes, my viewpoints are weird or not normal because their not culturally accepted. Typical.

  • @HigherPlanes You should also check out the series "Music Industry Exposed" it's really amazing how much control 'they' have and how 'they' are attacking the majority [all the sheeple] in every way possible.

  • @HigherPlanes may i ask why you continue to share life with her?

  • @heartjump22 I continue to share life with her because I love her. I just couldn't bring myself to ending a relationship because of a few different views.

  • @HigherPlanes yeah, i see what you mean. Your love for her is powerful too. It may be that you learn from eachother. Also, opposites attract i suppose, right? :)

  • @heartjump22 Yup, opposites attract. We have our moments like every couple. Differences don't bother me. The most important thing is keeping an open line of communication. When that line closes relationships usually die.

  • @HigherPlanes any recommendations on how to keep the line open?

  • @heartjump22 I can't speak for other people but what has worked for me personally over the years is learning, really learning how to listen with an open empathetic mind. Finding like-minded people also helps a great deal.

  • excellent vid- I knew this already but it really hit me when he talked about how these images stay in your brain, Which is obvious but thinking about it more is scary. 70 percent of all MSM that sucks. The good news is everything that is alternative is growing quick radio, Internet, stores etc. Lets face it- Globalism is ruining the world and was a bad idea

  • I wonder how people will react when they are forced to change their ways....
