It's been so long I had forgot that I could defeat Launch Octoput to get the Heart Tank, and then you come around with the Iceboarding method. That's fuckin awesome.

I had just about forgotten all about this video, to be honest. But hey, I'm glad to...help, I guess? Hah. But believe me, I feel a tad ashamed at my failed attempts...that was pretty bad, heh. But anyway, yeah. It may not be the most practical or useful "trick" in MMX1, but hey, it is there, so. I'm sure someone could make use of it, somewhere!

That would be Guts Man's Ass. He (it?) hails from the old Mega Man cartoon from the 90s. It became a running gag/meme on YouTube (and possibly other places on the internet) after a certain popular video was made here on YouTube with GMA (that's Guts Man's Ass for short) as the main feature.

you're right, that's another way of getting that tank...but timing is difficult, and without an emulator it's easy to lose all your lives. the heart tank at boomer kuwanger can be got this way, too...the timing is easier and you don't lose a life if you fail.

True enough. But ironically, while I figured for years that the jump in this video was possible, albiet very tough to time, I had no idea for ages you could do something similar to get the Heart Tank in Boomer's stage. I just didn't see it. Heh.

Hm, I always do this too, just for fun. But I believe it may be easier to get if you break the top 3 blocks only and do it from there.

The water appears after you've cleared Launch Octopus's stage - I had not cleared that stage yet, so, that is why there is no water in Sting Chameleon's stage, in my video.

It's really tough, I know. T_T; Hence the retakes - which don't even show my attempts to do this BEFORE I succeeded and thus went on to actually record a(nother) successful attempt.
