no way this specc system could run crysis at the configuration you say so... I got a core i7 @ 4ghz , 2 BFG 275GTX SLI and I can maxx it @ 1680x1050 4xAA , but sometimes my frame rate goes on low 40s or even 30s.. and most of time it is at 60-100FPS

I just watched the video again. It looks sped up. Even with a brand new 9800 GX2 on a quad core phenom and brand new equipment, at ultra high you can't get frames like this. It looks like this but slower. I wonder if the music is a distraction for the fact that the video is tweaked about 5% to speed it up.

And this ATI Radeon HD2600PRO 512 MB.

Im sadly only be able to play it on Middle Settings, but i dont know why this Textures look sometimes fucked up, sometimes the Wall Textures look even more worse then HL2.

Duh-du-dumbfucks! I said it! There is no way and never will be a way to have dx10 in XP! Yeah crymod has a very-high unlock hack, all that does is utilize dx9 to the max because of the high system requirements. It is however not dx10 by any means- and if you want side-by-sides just google it for proof. God i hate idiots making shit up.

its not REALLY DX10 in XP though. Just most of the effects in crysis that DX10 has. There is no way to get DX10 for XP at all.

Windows Vista is memory hog. I advise at least 2GB of DDR2 667MHz with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. You will also need a video card with at least 256MB of ram.

I have played crysis throug hwith 1280x1024 resolution with E6600 and single GeForce 8800 GTS 640 Superclocked autoconfig set settings to high. Very high settings look granular when viewing trees close up so high was preferred. More fun without unlimited shield and health but nice nonetheless.

This gpu is pretty much bullshit. Yea its nice and yes its awsome but its not worth 10,000 for just a CPU unit since u gain nothing more than say a E6600 does.

Crysis itself dosnt really work as an optimized game on high setting. The new 8800GTS 512mb is very price worthy even beating GTX for people thinking about new GPU, for CPU core2duo or quad.

? the 8800GT and the 8800GTS are basically the same in benchmarks. 8800GTS is just more overclockable (bigger cooler, higher stock speeds) but it only beats this card by a couple fps in crysis...

well i dont will belive, i played at 1024x768.. so my 8800gt is 650/1620/950 and with over has 690/1730/1000 with fan 50%.. i do a over like u with 730/1800/1000 with fan 60% but in the game sometimes the vga push blackscreen and pass 5 10 12s and back to normal, my processor i over it to 2.45 but all this over just result in 5-10fps to much, my ddr2 stay in 700mhz, cause they are generic and cause that i dont force them.

what resolutions are you playing at? and your processor should be clocked higher, and your 8800GT has to be at atleast a 720mhz core clock to play very high settins.

Wouldnt be very high, card suffers on 2xAA with High on, wouldnt be alot better with very high settings and 8xAA.

with hacked dx10 all the way

its runs smooth using 4xAA

i think it could handle true dx10 all the way when i use all 4gb of ram and at a lower resulotion
