Is this originally for two cellos? and if not, would you be able to give me any good reccomendations for original duo cello music?

It is originally for two cellos. Look up Barriere`s sonata, Klein`s duets, Correte`s pieces, there is a lot of music for 2 cellos, thanks god!.

Look up the duet sonatas by WILLAM De FESCH. wonderful, and available on international.

Frederich Kummer wrote many duets, most of them garbage, but the OPUS 22 duets are wonderful and charming, and Piatagorsky loved them.

GLIERE wrote ten wonderful duets for two cellos. They are difficult but wonderful.

POPPER wrote ten duet etudes that are charming, beautiful and very fun to play.

AVOID the Offenbach duets. those are stupid.

My cello (Piatti model) was made by Matias Herrera, a Venezuelan maker from the Cremona school. Her cello (I think it is a Montagnana copy) was made by Matias´ wife, Lucia Valli. She is born in Faenza, Italy. Studied in Cremona as well.

Hola. Esta sonata no tiene un número asignado, por lo menos no en la edición que hemos tocado. Esta editado por la casa International y dice "Sonata in C Major for two Cellos". Saludos
