  • ohh wow its beautiful

  • @MsPanda718 its only on during the month of december, dw about it.

  • I hate country music but i dunno why I jus love this one -.-

'All I want for Christmas (The movie) brought me here :D

  • me gusto mucho esta version :)

  • Bethany sent me ! <3

  • BIKINI BOTTOM THEME SONG:O <3

  • People think this song is about rape? Really?! LOLOLOLOLOL Listen, this song was made in 1944, Roofies (or date rape pills) weren't even invented then xDDDD failure.

  • @dunmakemekillu "What's in this drink?" could just mean it has A LOT of alcohol ... aka 'the original date rape drug'.

  • @siukong Lol I guess that's true, though people still blame it on roofies which is ridiculous >.>

  • heh. Trust me, it's COLD outside. This is an old song which is why there's a throwback of 'the neighbors might think'. If this guy is my boyfriend he wouldn't have to ask me twice lolol. If I didn't have a boyfriend and he was just my kinda guy, um... I wouldn't care who else thought what. It's not about other people, it's about the couple singing. I cannot believe the way peoples' minds are going.... you people are STRANGE!!!

  • I like the neptunes daughter version were the roles are reversed and I belive. Its the original

  • typical the girl wants 2 leave the guy wants her there so he can fuck her

  • why is there a dislike button ????

this so is so... AMAZING!!!! :$

  • CLICK THE SNOW BUTTON. OH MY GOD IT'S BEAUTIFUL.

  • @ChroniclesOfEdward what snow button?

  • @Phoductions143 It was around Christmas time that they had a snow button available but, I don't think they're doing that anymore. Hahah

  • I usually listen to metal music but who cant love this song :D

  • Rape? You can't rape the willing heh

  • no wonder she wont stay, he keeps interupting her!!!!

  • Old Bing Crosby and Doris Day song. :-)

  • Aww, does anyone else see the snowflake on the thing? (:

  • <3

  • Awww that's so romantic! Oo I know something that would make it more romantic.. If it was cold outside. Yha that would the the most romantic thing EVER!

  • <3

  • Albert Heijn reclame!!!!!

    <3

  • Favorite Christmas song! =) <3

  • who ever is calling it rape is a fcking idiot

Loesser wrote the duet in 1944 and premiered the song with his wife, Lynn Garland, at their Navarro Hotel housewarming party. Lynn considered it "their song," and was furious when Loesser sold the song to MGM.[2]

  • Who ever thinks this song is about rape really need to go back and think about REAL life!!!!!!

  • Check out our basketball shot video. It's a funny clip. Thanks I appreciate it :)

  • its from the movie neptunes daughter... this wasn't even supposed to be a christmas song! there is no snow when the people actually sing it.

  • Rape??? Give me a break people. Jeez sometimes I think people just say stuff just to get their name in the news or some stuff. With all the reality BS it's understandable. Anyone can make a living off of showing their life and making a complete ass of themselves. But good, cute music is Rape? UNBELIEVABLE! You know what is rape??? Looking at another starving ass artist on reality tv!!! STOP RAPING ME! LOL. Good going Lady A You are the bomb!

  • this was in elf :O

  • its not about rape. get over it. jeez...nice song, its unique in that you usually dont hear songs written in conversation style

  • what a great song!! These 2 have so much chemistry as singers

  • that people consider this playful give-and-take as a rape story suggests how out-of-control rape accusations have gone. The song is about the typical courtship dynamic between a man and a woman from time immemorial. Man is the typical pursuer, Woman is the coquette. The end result is the same. Using the weather as an excuse to spend the night is very male. Pretending non-interest is very female. Welcome to the Human Race. If you have a problem with this, I suggest you move into a cave. Alone.

  • I agree! this song is a classic, and no matter how awkward some parts may be it IS a great song. And seriously, people need to stop denying it, you KNOW you sing along with it on the radio when it comes on:)

  • loveeeee this.

  • lol

  • Love it. -3

  • One of my favorite songs and one of my favorite country groups.

    God, this is amazing.

  • This is my favorite Christmas song.! :D

  • 14 days!!

  • their style and sound are too much alike, no contrast, no feelings (the guy doesnt sound seducing the girl), just my opinion, i prefer the zooey and leon redbone version

  • i actually really like it. :)

  • Omg I found out this song from the glee project but it's beautiful and i love it and everything.

  • Best Cover EVER (:

  • I have to learn this song for a sign language class and I've determined that it's clearly about rape.

  • @CFpandemic "What's in this drink?" didn't give it away outright?

  • @somerandomguy135 The original song was written before the existence of date rape drugs.

  • I hada dream about this band last night! I met her and she was all like I hate our guitar player, he such a jerk to me, and she was drunk...I was at their concert! IT WAS CRZY WEIRD!!!!!! The guy singer was like being a player... IDK... My mind takes me to some weird places in my dreams....

  • this is actually really hot

  • Like if you sing Christmas carols all year round!

  • My friend and I were talking and he said "If you really listen to this song, it sounds like date rape!" It's a terrible thought but I can't help but laugh that he jumped to that conclusion!

  • @USMC4Jesus It is. "say what's in this drink?"

  • Check out Casey and Haleys!

  • I'm not a fan of country music, but I don't think anyone can mess up this song. This is a decent rendition.

  • Christmas is comin'

  • ehh... I love Lady Antebellum but I didn't really enjoy this cover. =/

  • 746, 164 of these views are mine.

  • This song kept replaying in my head all today. <3

  • LOVE IT!!!!! Relax people it's just a song!!

  • There voices are the perfect couple ;D

  • I like this version, although I think the original is better.

The original version mentions a cigarette. This version doesn't.

    Just thought that was interesting.

    Great song!

  • The original from THE RADIO brought me here? Kay'?

  • This relaxes me so........

  • What album is this song from? I just bought their most recent Xmas album and it's not on there...

  • @albrandt79 now That's what i call a country Christmas . (2009)

  • i love this song..

even there is no snow here in our country, the wind is already chilly, knowing that xmas is now approaching.

  • i live in texas and baby its cold outside i so exited

    love tis song

  • I hate country music with the passion of 1000 burning songs. But every year, I abuse the replay buton of this song like a cheap hooker <3

  • @fancybrit93 Thats because this is originally from Louis Armstrong and Velma Middleton.

  • @TyLo0 actually the armstrong/middleton version is a cover from 1949. first version was released in 44 by composer frank loesser and his wife lynn garland singing the "wolf" and "mouse" refrains respectively.

  • Lots of love to my friends and family from Afghanistan. I miss you guys but I'll be home before you know it.

    Baby it's cold outside.

  • I think most of the Predatory interpretations of this song spawn from the line "Say What's In this Drink" now-a-days that smells of Date Rape drugs. At the time it was probably a reference to the "night cap" being a tad strong on the Alcohol content.

So while the song isn't as dark or predatory as heard now, it's understandable as to why people make this association (Also the parts are Labelled Mouse and Wolf)

  • The song is about two people that are enjoying each others company. He really wants her to stay so that he can hold her and be with her, but she's too worried about what the entire world thinks about her rather than what she really wants. THAT'S what the song is about......not rape! That's just absurd.

  • haley reinhart and casey abrams version is thee best version of this song EVEWRR

  • .__. I hate how people are saying this song is about rape.. This song is just about wanting to stay with the person you love. Come on haven't you people ever had a crush or loved someone a lot you didn't want to leave them alone, you wanted to make spend a long lovely time together? When she says "Say, what’s in this drink?" she is using an excuse. Really they're both wanted to... Woohoo ( Sims ;D) But please don't taint this song with rape, it's such a great song so why ruin it?

  • @beautifulbones101 lmao i hadn't even read this comment but after my gf showed me the song im like dood he is a rapist

  • @beautifulbones101 I know right? Silly people come on YouTube and try to act cool when really they are making themselves look stupid.

  • @beautifulbones101 BECAUSE THEIR SICK!

  • @beautifulbones101 Thank You So Much, I'm glad SOMEONE has good sense

  • @beautifulbones101 I completely agree with you. She says "I ought to say no no no sir" If it was rape she wouldnt say that shed be like "GTF away from me!" some people just dont understand the concept of rape. But it is a really pretty song, and i think Lady Antebellum does an amazing job on it

  • this song makes date rape seem a-ok! ...but in all seriousness i do like it.

  • Essa Musica Eu Me Lembro Da Lua Blanco D+

  • Nice to hear during any cold winter!!!!

  • Elf is on TV!

  • @crikeyzelasko My favorite Christmas movie is ELF ...just love it...so sweet

  • i always wanted to learn this song :)

  • Well.. dont know about everyone else..but to me it sounds like this song us about a guy who wont let a girl leave..because he wants her. Just a little bit of a bad subject in my opinion.

  • In now it's November and still i listening to this.. ♥

  • This is my chorus song! But it kinda sounds weird when 8th graders sing it....

  • @ThePiglet36 I bet it does

  • can anyone tell me what key this is in?

  • @RunningLikeGirls its G# with a touch of the Major 7

  • They make this song sound ultra sexual....in a good way :)

  • its exactly the band I wanted to make a cover for this song ♥

  • the glee project brought me here, actually. lindsay and cameron FTW. :D

  • Ugh .. Christmas needs to hurry up & get here . <33

  • I love this!

  • i never liked this song its original song or the way they sing it...but i must admit they have beautiful voices.

  • I love this song. First heard it when I was watching Elf for the first time about two years ago and it's been my favourite Christmas song since. Reminds me of my dream New York Christmas. Beautiful...

  • I know that It's a classic song...

but Glee cover by Darren Criss and Chris Colfer is BETTER!!!!!

  • @orrcha123 That's a matter of opinion. To be specific, the misguided opinion of your deluded self. :)

  • Such a classy group :)

  • He roofied her drink... date rape, not even once.

  • @ragnorak2809 huh?

  • I like this version!

  • Good song<3

  • Nice, imma have to do this

  • Christmas-- everyday that passes is another day closer! Wooooo!

  • it feels like Christmas already!

  • Youtube suggestions brought me here :D

  • It's September, and I'm already listening to this! <3

  • Go on jaymedee333's channel and watch her version! You will not be disappointing and amazing and in my opinion 10x betters than is!!!!!!

  • This is my favorite christmas song. <3

  • Oh, and by the way no one here thinks it's from glee. i just prefer they're version. @RaileyLeo cracked up with that one XD

  • i love lady antebellum, but the glee version is better.

  • cracked.com lead me here xD

"8 Romantic Songs You Didn't Know Were About Rape"

  • at least glee is giving people some culture.. Why can't they do what they do and bring culture to people without a bunch of douche bags talking shit about their work?

  • I do think, Glee Project version SUCKED :D

But, Klaine version was really sweet, and this version is Totally Awesome :)

  • Well, this music is really old, and really good :)

Glee didn't broug me here, but i'm a hug glee fan, and a fan from the cover that they did so... I'm here for Lady Antebellum, but not say bad things about glee :)

  • Well, I DO like this version better(: But I don't get why everybody is hating on Glee? I think they did a great job! It was super adorable!

  • Screw glee.

  • thumbs up if glee DID bring here !!! i <3 Glee

  • this an ode to date rape drugs. sit there listen to it and think about it

  • My good this is way better than glee. I can't believe people are so idiotic.

  • Dean Martin made the best version, fuck yall gleeks

  • thumbs up if Julia Nunes brought you here!!!!

  • tbh, i am a hardcore lady a fan, but i prefer the glee cover than this one(:

  • You are a fucking dumbass if you think Glee made this song...o.o

  • its from mafia 2

  • anyone who thinks the Glee idiots sang this song better than Lady Antebellum are freakin' retards

  • This song was written by Frank Loesser of Broadway fame in the 1940s. He originally wrote it as a party piece for he and his wife. It' s been covered by almost everyone worth singing the Great American Songbook. I'm glad Glee covered it, but go beyond Glee and explore more of the Great American Songbook!

  • It's not from Glee you fucktards. It's a classic song. Dumbasses.

  • The original was done Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, two artists that Glee will have work a lifetime to be in the same league as.
