  • Are you kidding ??? thats no werewolf .... thats Chuck Noris unshaved

  • Good movie

  • I used to be a werewolf, but then I took an arrow in the knee

  • I was bitten by a werewolf once but im all right nawoooo.

  • Retarded and OLDDDDD

  • Still love the trailer though :D

  • gosh dangit :I I love the random trailer and all but unfortunately I can't find the movie....sooooooo either my butt is too dang lazy to go look it up or my brain can't process the fact it's not on youtube e_e

  • that was a pretty terrible trailer

  • @Drewcifer6789 Naw, trailers these days show to MUCH of the movie footage. Back then, they showed as little in trailers as possible because they wanted you to actually be surprised when you went to go see the movie. If you show me a five minute trailer, like they do today, what is the point in seeing the movie? I already saw half the scares in the fucking trailer.

  • I'm confused. Why were the guys in the pub so mad about the Americans asking about the pentagram? I understand that they were joking about it... but what if if was someone who truly didn't know what it meant...

  • @LoveKittyChan Because the locals really believed in the pentagram and its protection. The Americans are outsiders and the last thing a person wants is to be seen as the foolish and superstitious type. So they took personal offense when Jack and David mocked albeit jokingly about the pentagram and saw it as a reflection of how they (Americans) viewed them the locals.

  • twilight fans have never seen a movie this awesome

  • @Orthropox14 xD SOO RIGHT!

  • just got this on blu ray can't wait to watch it, been so long since I seen this great film!

  • They should remake this old movie..i luv it a lot ..million times better than twilight

  • a White Werewolf in the ghetto

  • Joe Rogan

  • hey is it just me or does the nurse in the film look alot like rachel starr the pornstar?

  • what's the difference about the wherewolf in paris and the werewolf in london except the places?

  • @aboe112 one movie sucks and the other doesn't, watch them and you'll be able to tell.

  • BEST MOVIE EVERRRR (:

  • KEEP OUT OF THE MOORS!

  • I had a crush on Jenny Agutter but she has played in some weird movies.

  • The best horror comedy (which packs a lot more punch on the horror side than on the comedy side) ever. Enough of this Scary Movie crap. A good movie that is funny and scary on it's own merit without having to parody anything is what has been missing from Hollywood these past 30 years. Rick Baker's special effects are amazing even by CGI standards.

I am looking forward to Tucker and Dale vs Evil to bring back the horror/comedy genre into decency unlike the crap that comes out these days.

  • "I didn't mean to call you a meatloaf, Jack ; ) "

  • @Mucifiktor Werewolf gets shot, dies, end of story. Got it?

  • @420BrainMelt WOW, really? It's just too sudden. You watched the entire movie and this is what you get in the end...

  • @Mucifiktor Guess you're right. Still a pretty cool movie, in my opinion.

  • Awesome video! An American Werewolf in London rules!

  • saw this when i was 11 still crapping it

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE, FUCK SAKES, NOT ALOT OF POPULARITY THOUGH!

FUCK SAKES, FUCK SAKES, TWILIGHT FUCK OFF!

  • "YOU made me miss ive never missed that board before"

  • i'm sorry but if getting bit by a werewolf would allow me to meet and hook up with a babe like jenny agutter then I would have to say that I would not be opposed to getting bit by a werewolf

  • @mermaidd0lly I think The Howling is better. this scared me shitless when I was a little kid (the whole watch out for the moon, stick to the path) but watching it nowadays...well it aint aged that well. not as good as I remembered. but still, along with Dog Soldiers and The Howling defo one of the best

  • An american werewolf in london: 296,170 views

    Twighlight eclipse: 15,037,928 views

I'M AM GOING TO KILL MYSELF!!!

  • @Ermac659 Teen fads are always going to be more popular than classic well-made films. That's why they're fads. We'll see how well the twilight garbage holds up when it turns 30 years old.

  • @cvg1099

    Yeah it will be Twilight...who?

American Werewolf in London is a classic!

  • @Ermac659 i'm glad i got this on dvd it's awsome i can't wait to watch it again.

  • @Ermac659 Newer movies will get more views due to curiosity, older movies get less since most people have already seen it.

  • @Ermac659 that's how the world runs, it is stupid but get over yourself.

  • @Ermac659 It's okayy, 15,037,928 people are either little girls, justin beiber fans or justin beiber

A Chick Flick..This is a Classic?..Im a VFX Artist & Well Lame story & good FX will save a Movie?..all the VFX in American Werewolf Done Physical FX..why did N Jackson RIP..choose Landis to do Thriller Video??..Theres your You Tube Viewing Figures??

  • @Ermac659 Ditto

  • @Syuss4 Ditto ditto =)

  • man i love this movie , its both scary and hilarious. this is one of the best werewolf movies of all time, i also think that its john landis best movie . this is a film that you dont mind watching over and over again.

  • ONE OF THE GREATEST HORROR MOVIES EVER!!

  • when i was little this movie scared me SO BAD....im almost 14 and i cant watch this by myself even in the daytime

  • Is this 'due date'?

  • I wish there was a prequel for the Slaughtered Lamb community and how it came to be. The lady at the pub said it went back for 200 years.

  • I love the song Blue Moon by Bobby Vinton

  • Fenner19767 completely agree, still have to have the lights on when I've watch it and I'm 36 ! But the only question is, if there were attacked on the yorkshire moors, why did David end up in London ?

  • @raccoonradar True! That puzzled me as well? The fictional Yorkshire village of "East Proctor" in the film, wasn't filmed in Yorkshire but actually filmed at Crickadarn in south Wales (in the Black Mountains/Powys I think?). There's a great vid on YouTube somewhere, where someone has put together the exact locations used for each shot. Nice to see a very young Rik Mayall in the pub at the start of the film as well. The part that scared me the most when I was a kid, was the attack on the moors.

  • if you have never seen this movie, see it now,its the best werewolf movie, past or present and its still kicking butt, happy halloween

  • Is it alright if I upload this movie? Let me know, because I want to.

  • @Whackadoo1 do it ... they need a true werewolf movie

  • @OneProof really? OK!

  • Nicely done! Kudos.

  • The best werewolf movie ever made. This was the first horror film I ever saw when I was about 7, and it scared the living piss out of me! As far as effects are concerned, this still beats CGI hands down, as prosthetics are still far more realistic than all the overplayed stuff of today. Not surprised that Rick Baker won an Oscar for this, as it still remains the most incredible transformation scene on film and really shows the intense pain of a human changing into a hound from hell!

  • @Fenner1976 i hate cgi its so unrealistic

  • @THEMOCKMAN Very true. The trouble with CGI is, that its been totally overdone in today's films. With American Werewolf, the prosthetic effects were so good, and nobody had ever seen anything like it before, plus the wolf wasn't really shown all that much, which left things to the imagination, which made it even more scary. I would rather see a film with a great storyline and no CGI at all, than a film with CGI all over it, and no plot. Films like American Werewolf are true classics.

  • @Fenner1976 im actually getting in the film industry i have a job as a runner in london which is just dealing with camera's etc. but i could work my way up hopefully :D

  • @THEMOCKMAN Sounds great. Wish you the very best of luck with it. Hopefully you will get the lucky break you need at some point! :D

  • "You have lovely sheep."

    XD I love Jack.

  • love this film, total classic!

  • When they go back to the moor, which by then looks more threatening than ever, and that howling comes from nowhere... you shit your pants.

I honestly don't think any scene in any horror film is more terrifying than that one.

  • Christ. Keep seeing good comments all over the old horror films on YT. Horror films are terrible PC " everyone included teen crap" now. Hostel, I've got to admit, was amazing. And i've seen parts of the second film that look good. But we need to backstep 3 or 5 decades to recapture the real juice. It's so sanitised these days.

  • @Noodles37UK Indeed. How the hell can you have a PG-13 horror movie? We want the blood, gore, stereotypes, nudity, story line and everything else that comes with a really good horror movie like in this trailer for this movie. The first Hostel I must say was very good and the second one while not as good as the original was still better than a lot of junk that gets passed off as modern day horror. PG-13 horror IMO is not justified and it only serves to kill (irony) the genre.

  • @WRK004 heyy yoo dude its R not PG-13. I have the newer one. back then it was pg 13 but this has nudity dude soo idk what your talking bout. plz thumb this up

  • @p00nstrnub I was replying to Noodles37UK comment about todays horror movies being rated PG-13. I know this movie is rated R, I was refering to movies such as the Prom Night remake and others in that catagory. I was also speaking out about how movies in general pass up on storytelling and opt for special effects. I appreciate your enthusiasm but it was a bit misdirected.

  • i love this film that much that i bought the blu ray just so i could watch all the special features

  • Still the best transformation into a werewolf on the screen. And this is 30 years old.

  • i think if i was to hear a howl like this either i drop down in the fedal position...drop down and pretend im dead or just get eaten by the thing...cuz there's no point in runing for my life if the beast freaking fast

  • @Kiinq360 Got one better... I'f I heard that damn werewolf howl at me like that. First I would fill my shorts up too the waistband with mud and run like hell. 2nd I would get pissed because of all the mud now in my shorts, so nexts best thing to do... Howl back at that ass because I would be pissed by then ..LMAO

  • @Kiinq360 or say you happen to have a knife on you atleast put up a small fight

  • This film is perfect as it is! To remake this film would be an insult to Landis and his film crew.

  • The best werewolf movie ever.

Oh and bye the way, it's being remade.

  • for it's day, a top film x

  • @andrewbification Effects wise I agree but even by todays standards the story trumps most of whats out there right now. All a movie is is story telling and that's what's important, not flashy effects or loud noises, but atmosphere in relation to your audience. If done well a remake could be a good thing but I wouldn't expect much with the genuises in charge of todays Hollywood. That being said maybe it should be left alone. But whatever happens one thing's sure and that is this movie is awesome.

  • @WRK004 i totally agree with you! i'm sick of the abandonment of good storytelling and acting for advanced effects. have you seen the new Wolf Man movie? it was horrendous. so bad. seems like you can't find a good supernatural monsters horror movie anymore.

  • @Bleedblack13 Yes I have seen it and yes it was horrible. You are correct to say that you cannot find good supernatural monster or horror movies anymore because hollywood made them mainstream. Once something goes mainstream it usually becomes a farce of what it once was. Hopefully this trend changes soon for the better.

  • lol "coming soon" xD

  • I watched this video with the vuvuzela noise and it made it completely unscary.

  • @joffeloff

The vuvuzela noise could make just about ANYTHING unscary. And potentially hilarious and vaguely annoying.

  • i'm from the 1990s generation and god, this trailer scared the hell out of me, they don't make them like this anymore,

  • i always think of this film when its a full moon, i often wonder why my parents let me watch it from the age of 2yrs old!

  • I had the biggest crush on the nurse as a kid , looking at her now, I just wanna pound her pussy!

  • Its Rick from the young ones.

  • ok so i was looking for a wolf video by ramstein and ended up watching this?

  • Yes, The movie did have a Teaser and it really deserved one. GOOD CHOICE MAN! :)

  • god what a classic!! x

  • One of the greatest horror movies ever made, and without question the best werewolf movie ever made.

  • this movie is amazing!!!

  • Brilliant horror/comedy from Landis with still amazing make up by Rick Baker and Jenny Agutter in a nurses uniform, oh god yes!

  • Man that howling would make me want to drop dead.

  • saw it when i was 10 and was scared shitless... saw it again yesterday and found it just... funny... actually the only scary part of the film were the first 15 minutes

  • Just got done watching this, and woww, that ending, lmao, "ohh godd (crying)..BAHHBAHBAHDADADANGGDADANGDANGDANG. lol.

  • the american werewold in paris might be better i think

  • What's really LOUSY is that there was no trailer for the film on the dvds that I have seen.

  • Hmm...I,m a American and gets turned into a werewolf and starts ripping the shreds out of Brits? Sounds good to me. :)

  • when I was camping out in the woods with my friends and I saw the freaking full moon I immeadiately thought of this movie. I was paranoid the entrie time lol

  • That looks so scary but cool

  • Beware the moon, lads, beware the the moon! Shivers 25 years later!! feckin` wolves!!

  • Saw this at weekend in a caravan, pitch black and misty outside. Was great

  • This film scared the crap out of me.

Course, I was only 14 when I saw it, that's my excuse. :-)

  • Can anyone tell me where i can watch this movie i cant find it anywhere! PLEASE

  • @rockstarhinata no joke u can watch it here

  • @rockstarhinata sorry i waned to leave link but can't do it. by the way link for movie so u can watch it

  • @rockstarhinata

  • i love that silent moment when jack and david get lost in the moors when you can only hear the werewolf's growl

very good film but still scary lol

  • this is the shit..

  • Good work

  • Comment removed

  • Only good thing is the american actor??? Lets see, Star Wars 1/2/3/4/5 & 6, Superman 1/2/3/&4, Raiders of the lost ark 1/2/3 & 4 all made in England!!!! Why??? Because the americans havn't got a clue when it comes to making top quality movies off thier own back. All they seem to be able to churn out now are remakes of movies.

  • @jcuk07 Actually, during a lot of that time there were a goodly number of financial incentives for movies to be filmed in other countries. Werewolf in London in particular, using English actors and setting. It all comes down to money, and at the time filming in England and Europe was more cost-effective than a backlot set in Hollywood. A lot of those incentives still exist today.

So quit your anti-American mouth before you actually do some research and know what you're talking about. :D

  • @jcuk07 I'm sorry but there is no good Superman movie as of yet. (Big fan of all things marvel and DC. Not a hater.)
