You know, I respect Waldner is his judgement on ball and his maturity on strategy. He lost to someone but he changes his strategy to adopt. His block is really stable compare to others, but if there is someone has the good shape as him, like Ryu S Ming, he still lose to him in Olympic 2004. Ryu even beat Wang Hao too.

Obviously, the video highlights all of Waldner's winning points. For a moment there, I thought something was wrong with my memory as I didn't recall Waldner on such a point winning streak. It was a closed one. The ITTF made many rule changes (hiding of serves & bigger ball) to subdue China's dominance in the game. In doing so, they also got rid of Liu Guoliang and Waldner's dominance, as well. As a result, Liu had to retire and Waldner became just another player.
Wrong Title. It should say Waldner Tribute. It did not show a single point won by KOng. Waldner is a great player, but at least show some points won by KOng. Watching this video, you would think Waldner won 21-0.
oh man.....waldner's backhand is just so, so sweet......precise and deceptive.....waldner's ball placement and control is the best ever....Long Live the Greatest......Waldner!!!
I think waldner actually peaked again during 1997~2000...even though he didn't win the sydney gold...his third ball attack and backhand loop was quite strong....
