  • great 4 part series. very informative and enjoyable

  • cool

  • google Mark Thompson and Jeffery Meyer tow Ft Bragg soldiers who in the 80's dressed as ninja and robbed and stabbed an elderly couple to death, one got a death sentence the other life. I knew one of these idiots. Common thieves at best, but being all they could be in the Army.

  • black ninja suit on a thursday morning....not too stealthy

  • I thought the biggest ninja movies ever were american ninja and ninja assassin. I have no clue what all those other ones were, also the game tenchu and ninja gaiden. as far as ninja movies they show two ninjas fighting in a basketball court... really? wow...lol

  • just bought true path of the ninja, about to read it. I'll let you know what I think

  • @am122808 cool mate, let me know!

  • @HistoricalNinjutsu I did a research paper on what the shinobi wore, I used your book as one of the sources. The Professor enjoyed the paper very much. So Yes I liked the book.

  • @am122808 Can i see the paper? antonyjcummins@yahoo.co.uk

  • I am not a ninja,i am a huge fan, when i was young and still now i like to watch some movies and and like very much to look documentarys and the videos of antony. The culture ninja is sothing that atract many peaple around the world and it should be shown, and peaple that are not honest should be exposed. Best regards to all ninja ,and fans

  • I am not ninja,but i am a fan.

  • this is the stupidest documentary of all time. Not a single piece of valuable information in it whatsoever. do serious scholars debate the events of hollywood films instead of historical facts? No, of course not. If Antony Cummins is in possession of all these ninja secrets like he says, how come all he can do is talk about stupid hollywood stereotypes and play pretend with his transexual lover christa jacobsen?

  • @12hiddendragons Well if a scholars goal is to debunk the falsities of Ninjutsu as it is viewed by the general public due to Hollywood's romanticism of the subject, then I don't see what else you'd do. There's no "secrets" known only by Mr. Cummins. All the information he and his team find are translated from various official historical ninja texts and scrolls.

  • Nice videos. Is your view point completely based on historical documentation?

  • @Interpfacts101 yes, both ninja documents and others, military manuals etc.

  • all hail chuck norris

  • should be on TV , very good

  • @oliverking90001 it was on in new york but only small audiance, look at my behind the scences one. some more good stuff there.

  • @234watchinvideos first ninja rule: never say you're a ninja :D

  • you guys are helping but ur harming, ihope u realize this

  • @RageMysterio yes, first we need to get rid of the lies about ninjutsu so we can get on with the truth. If you look at it the other way round, the lies of Bujinkan are harming Japanese culture.

  • @HistoricalNinjutsu Yes but your methods is bringing down people who mean no harm but too spread knowledge

  • Respond to this video... and let the real way of the shadows stay in the shadows where it belongs

  • @HistoricalNinjutsu Nonsense! It's the Bujinkan that made hundreds of extra tourist come to Japan and visit Atago and Iga Ueno. Now how can that be harmfull to the Japanese culture? The same reason that the poor Romenians are complaining about the huge tourism that came for Transylvania castle because of 'Bram Stookers' Dracula-version? As long as people got more to earn, eat and drink, I don't see much harm. Bujinkan, Genbukan, Jinenkan: all followers are happy and so is the Japanese tourism.

  • @HistoricalNinjutsu Besides, I have been there, also in Iga Ueno and can tell you that the Japanese love the ninja-boom-attention! Ninja-dolls, ninja-lunaparks, ninja-cookies, ninja-ricewine, ninja-movies, ninja-trains(!) that go to and from Iga Ueno, ninja-t-shirts, ninja-posters, ninja-stickers, ninja-shoes. It's all good for business. Now please tell me about the harm-part for the Japanese people. I think they care just as much about ninja as we do about European knights. Nobody gives a damn.

  • Wow, great documentary all around !

Though I must ask, is it true that the shinobigatana is not used in most "ninjutsu" schools today ? And that instead the continued representation is a commercial ploy to enhance the Samurai VS Ninja myth ?

  • @feliciano2040 it depends what you mean by ninja schools. there are no proven ninja schools only modern stuff.

  • @HistoricalNinjutsu Okay thanks, is it right to pressume the ninjato then was only used by the ninjas of their time ?

Just making wild guesses over here.

  • @feliciano2040 hi mate, no, there is zero proof for the ninja sword, it did not exist as used by the ninja (unless someone finds some info on that?). normally just a sword with a longer cord, could have a leather guard etc.

  • @HistoricalNinjutsu I've read an argument that straight blades have been found but it is thought they were actually improvised poor quality ones made from broken swords or the blades of naganata's. So intended to be straight in Japan? - doesn't look like it, but modified ones for footmen sure.

  • Guess the best bet is to learn from the Kawakami school from the Japan Ninjutsu Federation". Hope they actually teach more than the fighting aspects. I really hope I will not be waisting my time with them. I wont give up on learning REAL ninjutsu!

  • @CBoavida what have they taught you so far?

  • @HistoricalNinjutsu I´m not learning from them yet. I wasnt clear :-) I live in Portugal and the nearest place to train is Spain.

I said "hope I WILL not be waisting my time". I figure that they will teach in portugal in a few years. When they do I will see if they dont just teach the combat aspects.

  • @CBoavida For more info checkout their website: japanninjutsu (dot)com

  • @CBoavida just to be clear, there is NO ninja fighting arts. that is a myth. Best learn a trad Japanese martial art instead, then add ninja training.

  • @HistoricalNinjutsu You cant argue that all "ninjutsu" schools have a combat system very similiar to each There is a comon root I think. You cant just learn karate for example, than add ninja training. And even if that made sense, were would you find proper ninjustu training, without the combat aspects?

  • @234watchinvideos hahaha agreed!

  • I'm not a Ninja, and Meifu Shinkage Ryu is not a Ninja school!

  • LOL I LOVE THE NINJA AS DEPICTED WITH HIS SCHOOL PATCH ON THE SHOULDER OF HIS UNIFORM!

  • I think it was very cool that they called Antony. Sensei Antony Cummins. :)

  • @LittleImpaler i do not, God the peole on MAP would love to attack that, well that and other things like the truth. hahahhaa. the craks are coming.

  • @HistoricalNinjutsu Fuck them! They don't even know what the hell their talking about. They can't even give you an answer when you challenge them with a question.

  • I think it's funny bond would need Ninjas, since he does the Ninja job himself.

  • Did anybody read the sign at1:46?

    泳げない子はやめて下さい。

The ninja athletic park is for kids.

  • @BuffonSarutobi hahahah thats great!

  • @BuffonSarutobi can you translete it for us?

  • @bisnonnocanapa

"Children who cannot swim do not try this"

  • @BuffonSarutobi thanks!

  • @BuffonSarutobi Actually its a warning sign for children who can not swim. It unbelievable that everyone believes you because you can type the kanji you can just copy the characters and open up a new tab go to google(dot)translate(dot)com and paste. then you will see the rough translation "Please stop the child that can not swim."

  • @1Shatter1

"Please stop the child that can not swim." the translation is a bit different than the original Japanese. The nominative on the original Japanese is 泳げない子 Oyogenaiko but your translation is asking someone else to stop the child. If you have complaints against my Japanese, you can talk to me in Japanese. That's my primary language.lol 機械翻訳しかできないくせに何知ったかぶってんの?

  • @1Shatter1

I have been to the Ninja park so I know it's for children.

In Japan, Ninja is kids' thing. Ninja super hero stories were popular among kids since Koudan. This is why Ninja martial art dojo never get popular in Japan though it's Ninja's home country.

  • someone watch too many ninja movies... i even doubt a ninja would use nunchuck like that.

    Ninjas dont exist anymore... -.-

  • @wizardaim i know nunchuks!

  • @TSOAS2008

Weren't the nunchakus only from Okinawa?

  • @Kemmothar yep. But its a strech from Okinawan Karate to spying. hahahha.

  • @TSOAS2008 You know, at this point when I see a guy in black pyjama and mask doing Karate and using Okinawan weapons I just say: that's historically inaccurate. :D

  • @Kemmothar dunno if used in mainland Japan but the concept of sticks on the ends of ropes or chain is found all over the world at that time. China, the Phillippines, even Europe. I do wonder if any Asian museums have some actual dated nunchaku's. Doubtful though, I mean the wood could survive yea but the rope or chain holding together? stretch isn't it?
