I didn't realize how brainwashed I was until I got on the web and got to see the things they are hiding from us. The difference with the web is I can argue with what I see and others can argue with me. TV is so one_way, no wonder TV watchers seem like dumbest people. I used to watch just TV and thought Canada is great and wonderful and that America is the freedom capital of the world. turns out its fake freedom for the citizens and absolute hell for any nation that gets in the way of "progress"
I haven't watched TV in over 2 years. When I tell people that, they seem very defensive and start talking about why they do watch it, like I care. They always ask, how do you know what is going on in the world/community? I tell them I dont really care what is going on and that TV doesnt tell you what you really need to know anyway. @ortausti The problem is that most people regard the messenger(s) about all of this as the enemy - and are very antagonistic towards anyone who speaks out or tries to wake them up - if for no other reason than that they take umbrage at the very implication that they're "asleep" to begin with. At the very least, they are politely silent (usually in their thoughts that the person is some sort of paranoid "wacko" - or, indeed, an "elitist" themselves.)
@Onneff69 I agree completely. What interests me though, is how those who are "asleep" tend to have this blatent aversion toward those who are "awake". At the very least, they are politely silent (usually in their thoughts that the person is some sort of paranoid "wacko" - or, indeed, an "elitist" themselves.)

They create excuses not to "wake up" not knowing that these excuses will probably end up killing them. It would appear as though everything they know is false, and their first instinct is now their last.

@ortausti I believe the possible core reason is that to "wake up" and become aware ot it also means they might also have to DO something about it - not to mention the acknowledgment that their complacency has largely caused "it" (?) Beyond that, most people take offense at anyone who professes to know more than themselves, especially when whatever they're hearing is perceived to "go against" what they've been programmed to accept and believe, as well as their own blind faith in the staus quo.

I agree with him. Getting your news or stimulations from a very few sources for news upon which to form your opinion, will stunt you. People need to read other sources, I said read, other sources of news and viewpoints to be a true citizen of the world in which we live. Be aware, even the other sources may be slanted....the best thing is to include a healthy dose of history from different source with your sources of current news.
