We should make an alternate list of all the ones missing according to other opinions..a comparable list I reckon....As long a Michael Bolton does NOT get a look in..he keeps popping up in the links..jeez!!
I think Ann Wilson should have been in that list, she is definitely the best female Rock and Roll singer (in my opinion of course)! Though, Freddie Mercury is the greatest Rock and Roll singer of all time, gotta love his voice!

@philiponbass First of all, the "greatest vocalist" is an opinion anyways, and the list consist of HIS opinions, so shut the fuck up. If you think it should be different, than make your own, and get your own snobby comments saying "where the fuck is blablabla? Go eat a dick, you suck. From planet Mars." Gtfo.
CREO QUE EL MEJOR DE LOS SOLISTAS ES STEVE PERRY, TIENE UNA VOS MAS EDUCADA Y POTENTE, TAMBIEN CREO QUE UNOS DE LOS MEJORES ESSAMMY HAGAR Y DAVID LEE ROT, ESA ES MI OPINION
i like all this classics you got but for me the best live vocal performance EVER is layne staley love hate love in 1990 at the moore (everybody should check this one out)
I don't know why whenever Gillan is included in this kind of lists, it's always the part of child in time where he screams. The part before of the song is quite difficult to sing too, and can only fully meaningful and emotional be sang by him. And that's not the only song there. Take for instance others like: when a blind man cry, fighting man, pictures of home, strange kind of woman (live version)...
look dude, i don't know what criteria you use to determine a great singer, but steven tyler is not even close to being on this list. I love kurt cobain but he is not a great vocalist either. try to imagine you are showing a vocalist to someone for the first time. will they be impressed by cobain's or tyler's vocal style? I think not.
@kbodlasd All due respect, we all have our opinions. But, Rolling Stone and several other top music magazines have also listed Freddie as number one. Look up the video Queen-Live Aid-1985. Also check out In My Defence, two great examples of how amazing Freddie's voice was. Robert Plant is also agreed on as one of the best. You cannot have a top ten without them in it. Though I agree that Corell should have been on it.
In my opinion, there should be 2 categories for older singers and the newer. For example, Older: Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, Paul McCartney, Ozzy Osbourne, etc. Newer: Kurt Cobaine, Eddie Vedder, Thom Yorke, Chris Cornell, etc... Just my opinion :)
@TheCricketphoenix Freddie pretty much did all the vocals to BoRhap. The beginning of the song, that was all Freddie, his voice was just overdubbed. But that was all Freddie, he sung the main parts, and the opera part was HIM and Brian May and Roger Taylor.
