Club Kids Michael Alig & DJ Keoki Interview [1988] Part 1

This was in 88 - Michael and Freeze killed Angel in March 96 - Keoki went on (after they broke up) to better things. Michael - well you know how that ended. The famous Donahue show was in 93 - Three years before the murder. Very few of the Club Kids remain dedicated to Alig. They pretty much grew up.

It was obviously a super fun glamour-filled time that they have been able to move past for some people, there are club kids who have become sensible drug-free adults and have normal lives, but for some (probably most) of the original club kids, part fun, part real-life horror. Drug addiction is awful and sure, they took more drugs & went back to being glamorous, but pain of addiction would come back worse each time.

Then there is the murder and other deaths that went on in the club kid scene...

I think this was when Michael wasn't on drugs yet. He looks so clean, healthy and sober.

Man, some ofyou are talking about bringing CLUB KIDS back.....but don'y even realize what happen behind theyre lives. Most of these friends died young. Its a sad life in a way.

Yeah I will agree - the footage is somewhat timeless in the fact that it is hard (in this video) to tell what era this was from due to the clothing/hair styles being similar to current styles. Fascinating indeed. He (Michael) was 22 years of age here. Don't get me wrong - I was in NYC during this time and some styles have indeed changed. The footage is pretty good quality!

Michael before he got addicted to drugs. He was pretty cool then. He used to party a little but after 1990 he was a addict. I just started to watch these videos in youtube. I must be so bored! lol...He looked so young then.
