the talent pool is definitely thin... but i have a feeling her judo goes deeper than that 1 arm bar. so far it just hasn't had to. her profile is getting to the point where she will need a few new tricks or her next opponent will be too ready.
This constant armbar of Rousey just shows how thin the spectrum of fighters still is. It will improve over time and this sort of one trick ponying will go away more or less. Fantastic judo, nice to see in MMA.
I wanna see cyborg get into a fight. I think rhonda should wait for for her striking to develop. Cyborg has some really good wrestling skills so i don't think rhonda will just throw her around. When the time comes it should be good.

@WickedMo13 People give the steroids 2 much credit. Lots of great fighters were on roids. It dosen't matter. Ronda was scared, that's why she had to go down to 135. She was afraid of the champ at 145, where it actually made sense she got a title shot, instead she moved down.

Much better to move down divisions where there's more competition, which will give her time to improve her striking game and then challenge cyborg in a year or so. Her standup isn't good enough for cyborg yet.

@Zero91Hero well, big difference between being on true roids and testosterone enhancers. Alot of OTC supplements have this crap in them. Some fighters dont have a person to check this out for them. I will not call cyborg or sonnen guilty for doping on purpuse since i dont know. Cyborg though is umm, well... kinda as manly as her husband or chael sonnen. Chael, with his fighting style i think doping would be dumb unless he was coming off injury. Who knows, Chael didnt make any excuses. He ate it.

That's actually a very common armbar entry in Judo due to the prevalence of the Turtle position. We do a LOT of work on breaking and submitting someone in Turtle.
