Duke was right on the button they both love each other but are afraid to admit it again because of perhaps the other rejecting them.

It was clear to Duke and Holly hell to everyone!! Anna and Robert never stopped loving each other.

Duke sucks cant really stand him and I wish the god the writers didnt throw Anna with him, first off the mistake Anna made was geting involled with the DVX it cost her the man she loved and now DUke is a mobster its just as bad. I would think Anna would of stayed totally clear of him and if the writers truely new the character of Anna they would of not forced her into a relationship that should of went against all she wanted now from her past mistakes.

@KINGOFDAYTIME i do agree with the kingofdaytime, i think it was ok for anna to be able to love again,but duke's background is something that anna's character should have not permitted,especially the lies and deceit, which should hve been a major lesson from her years of guilt from betraying robert.i think it may have been that mob /bad guy attaction that intrigued anna, to make her love duke from her head more so than from her heart. her love from robert is purely from the heart.

I love Ian Buchanan- my appreciation for him is growing with each clip. Duke was a great character and despite being an ardent feminist, I crack up whenever he calls Anna "woman"!

I had to think when I heard him call her "woman" Is that appropriate? Also isn't that something Anna would drop-kick someone over?

I think all these actors played this really well to make a good story. All these charactors had certain personalities and they were able to keep them in charactor. If there was to be "tension" between Robert and Duke through these years I can't see it as a "hating" thing. In this clip Duke refers to Robert as a friend.

According to Duke, Anna not seeing that Robert is in love with her makes her blind. I don't see Robert in love with her either. I see a potential for that happening, but not for a little while. But, assuming that we're supposed to see Robert in love right now, is Robert blind to it as well?

Robert and Anna have a bond, even beyond Robin, I give them that.  As for anything romantic right now it is not appropriete and I sure hope it doesn't go that way??

I agree, but it's interesting to me that Robert didn't bring up Holly in the last clip. "I'm still mourning Hollyand not ready to even think about someone else" would have shut Sean up pretty quick.

I think Robert's in mourning and feeling kind of lost. I think he's been honest about needing the comfort that Anna and Robin give to him. It seems to be Sean and Duke that are seeing a romance where there isn't one. Though, I do believe that Robert always loved Anna-it's not the right time for either of them to be together. I'm glad that GH waited a long time for that.

Can you tell Sean and Duke to mind their own business. They are way off base. I am not seeing anything.

What I would like to know ... is the show and writers wanting us to SEE something but it is not being protrait to us by certain actors who agree with it being way too soon also?

Ok, I'm going to telephone Duke and Sean right now and have a talk with them: "dlwoods7 says, 'mind your own beeswax' and she says, 'you're way off base!'" Your theory is interesting and probably correct: the writers are writing it one way, and certain actors (like Tris and Fin) are subtly resisting and playing it a different way. They did the same thing with the K&R&A triangle. The actors resisted it and downplayed it whenever they could. In this S/L the actors won in the end.

i can't remember offhand where I read that, but I'm pretty sure it was an interview with FH around the time of the Kate & Robert romance. It made me admire TR and FH's contributions even more.

Dlwoods7: I agree with you that Robert and Anna have a bond beyond Robin. She is a product of their love but they had a deep devotion to each other when they were married to the point that Anna saved Robert and him her. Robin is the icing on the cake...
