would more miles on a truck get better gas mileage?.. i have a 3.9 liter v6 dakota.. its a 97' and has 24k miles on it.. gets like 15 max when im not pounding through the gears..

what is 180 thermostat? what does it do? also what is the 4.56 gears?

thermostat regulates engine coolant flow.. stock is rated at 195*, i installed the 180* so the thermostat opens colder and cools the engine down before it heats up. basically just makes it run colder. doesn't do much for performance, but it will help your engine life a bit. 4.56 gears are too complicated to explain on here if you have no idea what they are, basically gears in the rear end that let you decide how much acceleration you want as opposed to how much top end. msg me if ur curiou

4.56 gears are a lot taller than stock only meaning that it gets through the gears faster and makes your transmission gears run out faster, for example if your first gear maxxed out at 30mph and you put taller gears it would max out at 26mph which makes the power of your engine more usable, like a 4x4 truck if you put it in 4Low you get more usable power and tourque

nice u don't have to do much to make that truck quick. my buddy did a shitf kit, a performance chip, borla headers and a few other small things things and I've witnessed this he could be ford lightnings.

Swapped it out.  Got a 5.9 Engine, harness, and PCM. everything else is from my old V6 re-used
