truely beautifully played as another person said its hauntingly sad and beautiful , i'm in grade 4 violin and i think i will choose this piece after hearing you play it thanks :)
And there was no room to mention that I love the rubato. I need to hear you more - both of you - Tony - your solo during "Morph's" trill and your rubato is superb-at the scales in 6ths. So few folks know this and it is real refreshing to hear it played so well by you here! Again Great Playing. And thanks many times!
The whole presentation is just lovely. Vibrato is excellent-phrasing - all wonderful! I'm learning it mainly by ear from this video- a classical guitar solo version and perfectly in the key of D minor-easy to render (just a joke folks-nothing is easy on guitar.) in this key it works very well. Great job-ensemble is real nice and you're both very sensitive to make it look so effortless. I didn't like the work at first but just a few hearings and I was humbled. Masterpiece here - thank you !
@patugi it took you 3 years to reply and call me a "faggot". You obviously failed to mature in those 3 years. And it doesn't matter how "easy" you think a piece is. It just shows you don't understand how to appreciate real music.
haha we playe this in orchestra, i searched the vid, this came up, and now ive watched at least one almost everynight for the past few weeks. good shit man
beautiful violin playing. you really sing when you play!! Take some breaths in the phrases. It will be even more incredible!! Looking forward for more recordings. You guys need to get another piano. The piano sounds horrible. Record it one more time with a concert grand Steinway.
Wow... I love Gluck so much and you did it very nicely! :) Your intonation is great and I admire the smoothness of your bow changes. Mine are still a bit choppy. Also, the balance between you and the piano is wonderful. Some people just can't get that sense of dynamics AND intensity. Very well played. +Fav.
Hey Morph7...I have enjoyed this performance so much, I have to play it over & over again. Trust me...I enjoyed this better than the one by Heifitz....stunningly beautiful. A masterpiece....Thanks for sharing with the world.
I'm speechless. Your playing is amazing. One of my favorite pieces. Very haunting. I just saw the opera a few weeks ago in Munich and it was so well done. This is very inspiring.
Hmm morph47, I don't know who you are, but I'm assuming you are a professional, because that is not amateur level playing. You have a "retro" style of playing, especially your vibrato. So few young musicians these days have the skill or discipline to use the fast, narrow, and consistent vibrato that Milstein, Stern, Heifetz, etc. would use. I think this is actually a REALLY difficult piece, and you do it sooo well. Anyway, all this is just my opinion, but I really really enjoy this!!!
@morph47 I'm learning this right now and I'm practicing with your music I'm so happy that I found a violin player that can play better then other people who play instruments I know. You play really well. ( I think that's the wrong grammar but, too bad I don't care about grammar)
I might steal that trill :-)

Pretty laid back for someone who appears so young. Young musicians can be so, well, overbearing with the technique (new toy syndrome). Very nice.

Well done, this is beautifully phrased. I agree with the previous comment about your vibrato, nicely done and so young.

Thank you very much! I admire most the older generation of violinists, of whom I base my sound and technique on. I appreciate your comments

May the partnership continue and develop.
