This has been my favorite game since I was 9 years old! I have played this game once a year and have beaten it every year since and I am now 23.. This sincerely brought a tear to my eye.. Thank you good sir. Amazing playing.
Fantastic! Tres Bien! This will definitely go down as one of my most memorable YouTube experiences. Actually, I just might have to download the mp3. Thanks!
Jesus christ I come back to this after 2 months and the ending STILL gave me goosebumps. Words can't express how awesome you are.. at least, with my limited vocabulary. Inspired.
WOW! I am a big fan of the final fantasy games..and i have played french horn myself about 5 years when i was a child... so this is really great ..and shows that every music instrument can be used to play nearly all kind of songs... classic instruments, rock instruments..all kind;)

I came to this second video with every intention of commenting and suggesting you do the music from IX. The melodies in IX would simply soar on the french horn. I can only imagine the soaring horns on Melodies of Life. You should uh... definitely work on that haha.
@anthonyritchie I mean to add that I was surprised to find that someone else had already commented the same thing! haha, keep up the awesome work. I can't wait to hear more :)
wowww. this is amazingg seriously! I love the power a brass instrument makes you feel, I don't know what it is. Anyway you rock! :] Keep it up!!! I downloaded the mp3!
This is, without question, the best arrangement of FF7 music I have ever heard. You included all of the amazing songs in the soundtrack that get frequently overlooked by the video game ensembles that perform FF7 medleys. What you've done here is incredible.
5:22 Judgement Day, one of my favourite pieces of music from the game! This video just inspired me to buy a piece of FFVII memorabilia... about 10 years too late but what the hey!
Comme Songe j'ai vraiment été secoué à la fin, un moment divin, vous allez faire des choses incroyables tout les deux, j'attends avec impatience vos morceaux!!
Fantastic stuff! Amazing texture considering it's all horns. Great little bulges. Sorry it's taken so long to respond to your friends request! Added :)
I would love to see what you would do with a melody like this for FFIX. In my opinion, IX has the best music of the series (but of course all of Uematsu's music is great!). On the other hand, I might just do it myself, though it most likely wouldn't be for horns. Thanks for entertaining me tonight!
This is....hard to explain how much I love this. Nevertheless I shall try. I love final fantasy, I love the horn, put them together and i'm a happy camper for a long time.
Your playing is obviously virtuoso, and obviously the french horn, like all instruments, is limited in color and texture at the extremes of its range, esp. in the lower register. At times it doesn't really matter, while at other times something as simple as the addition of a tuba or trumpet could really go a long way. That being said, I don't think anyone could have done a better job armed with just one horn.
I also appreciate that you highlighted some of the more obscure tracks
@Marcpapeghin Maybe... someone could arrange the pieces for orchestra and we could assemble a group of instrumentalists? A video of both a conductor and a piano condensation could be sent around so that each player may play in time and with nuance. If each person recorded their part multiple times to simulate multiple people, and then the end videos/recordings could be mixed and balanced. It's surely an ambitious project, but I think there are enough talented and willing FFVII fans on YouTube.
@Sabre2552 I would be in for that. ^^ Although, the only instruments I can play properly at this point is piano (13 years), guitar (7 years) and vocals/singing (all my life)
@Marcpapeghin My uncle once wrote an email that dichotomized people into "dreamers" and "doers." Well he was wrong. It's the "dreamer-doers" who really get the furthest!
Totally Cool Marc, some parts, especially the end of th e whole thing I thought I was listening to the London Horn Sound. Very Very cool, can't wait till the next one.
The reason I decided not to put One winged angel is just that I wanted to leave room to all these other amazing themes we've never heard arranged ( Cid's theme, World Crisis, Fort Condor..) I feel FF7 is now all about Aeris and One Winged Angel while the ENTIRE soundtrack is as amazing as those tho themes ;)
perfectly agree with you. i love your selection, fort condor is an amazing track just like cid's theme, vincent's etc ... great player and great arranger too
I play French Horn, and needless to say i thing that all of your videos and recordings are amazing, and i was just wondering if your ever going to post some music to some of your tributes?
his music is on his myspace, there is a link on this page, look on the right side of the page there should be, if im remembering correctly mediafire links, go there and there are mp3 recording of all of his awesome musical arrangements
Oh my gosh! Marc this is so amazing! I wish I could play half as well as you. What type of mouthpiece are you using? Cause I'm sure that would help with your low octaves. =P
question how come there is only four octaves and again great because it would seem like more cause my trombone can do about seven but i can get only 5 or so
Well when I say 4 octaves, I mean 4 octaves of "real" notes that you actually play and sound great..of course you can get to a triple pedal or double highs but that's just for fun ;)
I would like to hear Aerith's Theme on french horn.
