  • lol he called him a Quisling.

  • Don Ohlmeyer was a friend of O.J so that might have had something to do with it. but what do i know

  • haha its awesome seeing dave stick up for norm!

  • Norm looks like a charater from those 50's comics :-)

  • wtf is wrong with NBC?

  • @dnanalahcnap theyre a bunch of douche nozzles...but actually he WASNT that funny when he did the news...I love him everywhere else..Hes a fuckin genius comedian ,,,Cant get enough...But ya he kinda sucked on that news skit...my opinion anywho

  • @screat if you werent around when it was going on i could see why you might think that, and if you say you were then i would suspect there is something wrong with you, while he was on snl it was some of the best current event comedy ever done if not THE best. sports show with norm macdonald is on tuesdays, its a throw back to the snl news and its great.

  • large animal cocks

  • @wyskasses good call, thanks doctor

  • he practically did just that, but it was on ABC.

  • Dirty Work is a classic. Screwed not so much

  • you can tell dave really likes him

  • I love the quizling remark. I'm saddened that the crowd didn't understand what he meant by that. GOOD FOR NORM A QUIZLING NO MORE. I hope people start to see that it's the quizlings that get the most attention in the media, and the true voices get shut out of the spotlight. NORM IS GREAT, so why has he disappeared?

  • @sorukai "quisling"

  • Love it when Dave is all fired up!!

  • Who fires this guy?

  • 240p!

  • Whoever fired Norm is also in charge of USA's economy.

  • No talk show host in their right mind would have Norm as a sidekick, because he would simply upstage them without trying or even wanting to do so. It would just happen.

  • Who would play norm in a made for TV movie about the life and genius of Norm!

  • @7thDayDavidian that movie would have to star him in all roles; like a Eddie Murphy movie filled with awkward silences and amazing drawn out punchlines. Also it's actually funny.

  • @7thDayDavidian Norm

  • Comment removed

  • to give him a sideshow part would be demeaning, but looking at the the things he says after more guests joined, like on conan, it would be a really good thing for television.

  • norm's one of the few people that can make letterman genuinely laugh.

  • Good to see Dave stand up for Norm, who definitely would be ill-advised to say the things Dave was saying. That's real class.

  • nbc is never wrong besides about the conan situation

  • Imagine, Norm MacDonald...Not funny? Whatever.

  • norm's HILARIOUS

  • dave is more angered by norms firing than norm is, dave is a good guy

  • Comment removed

  • @293874738 I think, I think, he also might hate that guy Don.

  • some ppl are dumb and do not understand norm's humor, sadly.

  • norm should do more shows! I can't keep watching these few sad clips over and over again!!

  • @chgw01 i can

  • @chgw01 check out his standup. he's got like 10 hours of material

  • Norm is so hilarious how he describes things. "I went to his office, and it's this big office, you know, . . ." hahaha

  • so letterman waits for people to fart after having dinner with them?

  • @snappyintx well letterman said he don`t make gas after eating bean dinner hence he actually waits for/expect people to fart

  • @RealDefentertainment

yeah genius. that was exactly the point dave was trying to make.. that, and the don 'ol meyer guy is a fuckin pinhead with no clue as to what the fuck he is doing when he lets go of somebody like Norm..

  • i need to get laid

  • norm should just be a professional interview guest

  • @PinStripes41

    he is

  • @PinStripes41 Yeah have his own TV show And every episode he's on a different show, until he does them all, the cycle back around.

  • Man, Dave never seems to have as much fun as he does when Norm's on.

  • Norm is such a hero!

  • Fuck yeah, Norm!

  • He brought the quisling back up lmao.

  • No, I'm not an idiot. I just thought it was funny.

In fact, I've never met a Jew. We don't have them where I live.

  • this interview really puts in perspective the inspiration for the Dirty Work storyline.

  • "Here's a guy who could not create gas after a bean dinner."

    LMAO, hahahahahaha.

  • anything off the top shelf ahaha

  • norm is adorable and funny.

  • That was the dumbest comment I've seen in a long time.

  • neither are trash and norm is scottish canadian

  • EVERY1 HATES U, TBONE. And who thinks "macdonald" is a jewish name?!? u fuckin retard

  • no im not and no they didnt "tbone" lol.. i dont promote alex jones either i just listen to him sometimes. Ha ha-- zionist agent. You're retarded

  • The fuck?

  • oh man Adam sandler n norm are both funny.Dirty work was funny movie too.

  • apparently sandler is making a movie with norm.

can't wait to see it!! i love norm!

  • too bad norm got only 15 seconds in that shitty movie, no one gives him the screen time he deserves.

    Fuck funny people.

  • Yeah well he made the cameo in Funny People, but it looks like he will actually has a bigger role in "Grown Ups", hopefully he gets to be in at least a few scenes.

  • Yep, its called "Grown Ups", due to be released 2010, he has a minor role. Theres also one called "Hollywood & Wine", due to be released later this year, starring Chris Kattan. Looks like Norm has a pretty important role. Doesn't look too good, but I'll still go see it for Norm.

  • dave loves norm

  • Not at all.

  • Your inability to recognize his intelligence makes you dumb.

  • wow dave letterman made me laugh! for the first time, ever, i have laughed at dave letterman! 5:26, that is excellent delivery

  • Did any of you see Dirty Work? I thought it was really good, but it got really bad reviews. I'd like to know what anyone else thought of it.

  • I thought it was great! Norm is a genius and every1 in that movie

    Great stuff

  • i loved the movie - i think he has an amazing unique sense of humor that many people are too stupid to understand. or he doesnt have many good connections in hollywood to promote the movie well.

  • one of the best comedies

  • great movie

  • Dirty Work is a classic... I prefer Screwed if I could only choose one but both are great.

  • i loved it.

havnt seen it in a long time though. but norm is like a brillant man, he could talk for 8 hours and youd laugh for 9.

  • I think its a great movie......Fuck the reviews Norm is funny as hell.

  • which once again proves my theory.....

    you know the rest.

  • got any gum?

  • YES!! Where's that clip??? SNL right?

  • snl yes.

norm and dave are both genius.

  • Wow, this looks old.

    I like Norm.

I don't really find him that funny like he doesn't make me laugh out loud much but he makes me smile lol.

Not to sound bent but there's just something about his persona and the way he speaks. Got a kind of jazz to it.

    Cool guy.

  • I kinda agree.

Some of his stand up just makes me laugh tho.

  • i like your comment. but you really should look into more of his material. especially if you appreciate comedy.

comedy for comedians. hes the best.

  • Argh, the opening scene shows the Twin Towers through the Washington Square Park arch. Man, I miss that view (New Yorker here). :(

    Love ya, Norm.

  • You can tell Dave genuinely likes and respects Norm a great deal.

  • @birh for sure, same with conan and denis miller.

  • @birh You mean like with butthole pleasures?

  • @birh as a fellow perceived screwed over by NBC

  • Norm is brilliant, someone give him a show and complete creative control.

  • i hope Dave pushes for Norm to take over the late show when he retires.

  • i think regis philbin is supposed to take it over but norm would be awesome

  • i doubt that because regis is almoust 80 years old. it wouldnt make sense replace dave with 70 with a older dude.

  • i would be thinking Jon Stewart, he was in the running earlier as well

  • the most natural move would be craig ferguson. dave likes him and he has good ratings (he used to beat conan and kimmel). Jon Stewart is to good for a talkshow in cbs. he is better in a fake news show cause is a very smart dude and a good critic. i bet my money on Craig.

  • but i would prefer a million times more Norm =D

  • Are you fucking kidding me?

  • supposed to take over? but regis is 106 years old

  • Norm should be hosting his own show

What a top notch talent not getting the TV time he deserves

  • I know hes great but I am not sure that he could make a funny show every single night and not get old. I wish he would do more but i dont think his own show would be good.

  • See, I agree with you, but Norm is a genius and I think a lot of people don't get his sense of humor, and he'll be reduced to pandering to the masses.

  • He had his own show. The Norm Show or "Norm" ... as you can see its no longer on

  • norm is truly one of a kind; the master of awkward humor. watching him interact with others in a way that is awkward, confusing, and yet hilarious is fantastic every time

check out his interview on the view or the interview with conan where he disses carrot top

  • He reminds me of what comedians are supposed to be.

  • Dave really likes Norm, you can see in his reaction to "Anything on the top shelf I can have."

  • thing about Norm is he is just laid back and naturally a cool person

  • NORM !!!

  • Norm would have killed Late Night instead of Jimmy Fallon.

  • i love norm, i have this on VHS somewhere, but im glad its up here already

  • he's so cute

  • norm needs his own talk show

  • dear lord are your correct!

damn thing it'll never happen cause of the barney babies and olmeyers of the world.

  • I love the fact that they keep saying the executive's name over and over. A bit of revenge. Nice to have someone like Letterman in your corner.

  • he is cool and funny

  • It was SNL's loss. This guy is freaking funny and that was just ONE guy's opinion. Damn it Don Ohlmeyer.

  • Norm MacDonald is the real life version of the guy in that Monty Python sketch who makes people laugh uncontrollably regardless of what he says.

  • he is def one of the more odd comedians but completely original and wicked hilarious.....love it

  • NORM IS THE SHIT!

ha you should watch him on the Roast of Bob Saget, Funnest stuff

  • yeah that stuff is of the chart, best part is "they wanna murder you in a well"

  • i cried hen i heard that part so well delivered

  • Norm is the man!

  • Norm should replace letterman after he retires.

  • I'd be for that. Norm is very much like Letterman, at least in my opinion.

  • Can you even imagine that? I'm pretty sure that if Norm took over, the ratings would sky-rocket.

  • But im sure letterman isnt going to retire anytime soon...

    hes hilarious!

but i also agree, norm and david are awesome!

  • norm did a great letterman impression in SNL

  • That's the most ingenius idea ever! Very good call.

  • I never watch Letterman, but I happened to see this interview when it aired several years ago and I thought it was the funniest thing I had ever seen. Ive been lookin all over for it and finally found it, THANKS FOR POSTING!!!!!!

  • David's just not funny.

  • you jsut have to have his kind of sense of humor

and it also depends on who hes "interviewing"

he can sound really bad next to norm, cuz norm is the best comedian in the world...haha

if he was next to like...tom cruise, where he isnt there to crack jokes...david seems to rock

  • Good Point.

  • Norm makes everyone look bad.

  • Norm has always got a smile on my face, and he makes me laugh harder than any comedian has ever made me laugh

  • i love that about norm macdonald

he makes me laugh, even when he isnt cracking jokes

which is hard for him to do...haha

  • i think it turned out taht this man banned everything norm did,

  • is that why i can't find any videos of Norm on SNL?

  • "who could not create gas after a bean dinner" hahahahahaha

  • Norm's delivery is flawless.

  • True true ture!! Ever SO true
