And why did Rafa wanna sell Alonso? He gets in the spain team ahead of Fabregas, who's almost as good as Gerard. Rafa wanted Barry in for Alonso and Barry's not half the player.

He seems to like quite average style players. Prob never recover from losing Alonso and how that's demoralised Gerard and Mascherano.
