hey i have synaesthesia but barely. i smeel colors sometimes and numbers have personalities but im wonderng if there is a way to enhance mine so i can be a better musician or jsut be cooler in gerneral XD

I can remember when a music teacher told the class that we hear music in black , white, and varying shades of gray. It made me chuckle because I hear music in a plethora of colors and shades. When I explain to people that I can hear the color of/in music, some are interesting in how that occurs, and some look at me like I'm crazy. Anyways, I think of it as a gift and it makes listening to music a very enjoyable experience for me:)

I dont mean people who see color with your name or color with emotion. I mean color with personality. I associate peoples personality with color and in my mind its around their body. theres another youtube vid about his syn if you wanna look at it. That one girl that says she has all of the syns except colored letters kinda pissed me off though. Theres no way thats possible there are still undiscovered syns out there and there are so many.

Thursday is a cherry-apple red, with gold flecks.

I like playing the piano, where I can see all of the colors overlapping each other. Sometimes it distracts me, though, and I make a lot of mistakes :)

Thursday for me a bright rich yellow, and it has purple ripples in it. I like playing the piano too, but I use the sounds to guide me, I can learn songs easily by simply remembering the colors that I see. I also play the trumpet, and I think it is funny how a tuba looks when it is played. Makes me laugh every time.

When I sneeze is is turquoise, what about you? :D

I have the 'numbers in space' type where the numbers from 0 to infin form a strange 'bumpy' virtical line. to me the days of the week also form a strange line. Emotions have colors ie. happy is sky blue and anger is black. Does anyone else have 'Mirror-touch'?

I wouldn't call myself a synaesthete, but when I was a child I saw the days of the week in colour. I had no idea other people did till I read the comments here. I forget the colours I "saw", all accept for Sunday, which was black.

I just found out why I cannot look at sharp textures. For 18 years now ceiling "Stucco" or anything "sharp", "hurts" when I look at it. I cannot focus on anything with a "sharp" texture in the backgound. Think this is related? Chocolate also triggers "nails on chalkboard" feeling between my eyes, same place looking at sharp textures bothers me.
