This is the worst knot you can do, it will always be uneven, look up the half windsor, thats the best

Place the necktie around your neck.

Make sure that the mini tie is less than half the length of the bigger tie piece.

Some where between 1/4 and 1/2 the length of the bigger piece.

Keep practicing!!!

@Ramsez Wrong. First, the purpose of the video was to show how the knot is tied, (aka the most important part).....and he mentions in the video that you have to kinda play around to get your tie length correct. Obviously he didn't get it correct. Second, if you knew anything about neckties you would know that the knot was not crooked. It was fine. Four-in-hand knots are always asymmetrical. If you want an even knot, you have to tie a Windsor knot

I usually go with the Half Windsor. I've never been able to properly tie a Full Windsor. When I try, I always end up with a knot that's way too big. I've used the Four in Hand, but it just seems a little too simplistic to me.

The narrow end was hanging below the wide end, if you look closley you can see it, fact, these guys don't know what they are doing if they have that much narrow end hanging down like he did, your have to start way higher than that, especially if ur tall

This a crap way to tie a tie. It creates a lop-sided knot and looks sloppy. Always use the Full Windsor as it creates the perfect symmetrical knot.
