Mr. Tallent now has his own show in Gatlinburg right on the main strip! He has a very nuce stage set-up, and his comedy and magic is timeless. I dont know why he hasnt as of yet snagged one of the big theatres on the strip in Pigeon Forge!
The shop and your acts would definitely be one of the reasons I started practicing magic when I was younger. It was definitely a sad day when I returned to Dollywood to see the magic shop was gone. Keep up the great work.
Yeah I just left from out there this past weekend. David Tallent has a magic down HWY 441 right next to the Hollywood Wax Museum. He does his routine every 30 min or so right outside his shop. He gathers a large crowd. I purchased the quarter-in-the-bottle trick for about 20bucks. He has a lot of gag items also like the snake-in-the-can. I enjoyed every minute. I look forward to visiting him again when I go next year.
Mr. Tallent now has a shop and a stage in Gatlenburg TN. It's beside Lineburger's Seafood on the main street in Gatlenburg. He no longer works at DollyWood.
I've been going to Dollywood at least once a year my whole life (26 years). Went and saw David and the magic shop every single time. It just won't be the same without him there. I do enjoy my Rascal though. My aunt actually thought it was real the first time I showed her.
Just went to Dollywood the other day, and was sad to see the Magic shop/show not there, was always a must see when we went to Dollywood..been watching him perform at Dollywood since I was 10 (20 years ago!)..always enjoyed his humor and magic (esp the practical jokes!).. and oh yea he was too cute.Came online to see what happened, and was sorry to see/hear about his mom. My thoughts/prayers are with you Mr. Tallent..nothing is harder then to losing a loved one and to let you know you are missed!
Ah, I love him. I heard about his mother being sick; that's why he wasn't at Dollywood a good bit of the time last year. And Rascals aren't being made anymore.. or, at least, they weren't, then. Can someone tell me if Mr. Tallent still works at Dollywood? And I'm not sure if his mother is all right or not, or if she didn't make it; it sounded serious. I haven't been in touch with him in a while now, and just wanted to make sure that he was all right.
My Mom passed away last Spring. I am still having a rough time with it. Rascal is no longer made, but she left me the copyright in her will. I still have a few Rascals my mom made.
The keep the laughter to an end line doesn't work! Confuses the audience!

Ah, I'm so sorry! I was hoping that she'd pull through.. I know what it's like to lose someone that close. Stay strong, man. I wish you the best.
