@MushroomDisorder: Search Talkbass for an used one... Lakland has released the 55-AJ to replace the DJ5. It's USA only now but coming as a Skyline soon.
And I search Talkbass forum sometimes...Unfortunately I don't live in US,so most of the interesting basses that are being sold out there can't be in my grip...Too bad :(..
My country really lacks basses...We DON'T have Sadowsy,Nordy,Lakland,Moon,Bacchus and many more good bass brands...
All we got he are stinky Fenders,copies of Fender,and some other lame brands...
@MushroomDisorder: It's pretty recent... Most TB sellers would ship to your country no problem. Just ask them... Fender is not a lame brand. Their quality has improved dramatically since 2008. Good luck...
Very nice. Lakland jazz basses just do everything for me...I just can't get into Fenders as much. Love them both but if I had the choice I would grab a DJ.
@MushroomDisorder: If you get close you can see the rosewood grain. Most ebony fretboards you see around are stained to give that deep black look. I've seen ebony in many different color patterns, including some that looked like zebrawood. Google "macassar ebony", "madagascar ebony" and "philippine ebony" and you'll be surprised...
@julioelectricbass: No, the 5 string version of this bass was never made in USA. They were made in Korea until 2007 and in Indonesia until 2010 when they were discontinued.
What the string are you use ุ^^

Damn I keep on listening to the DJ sig bass all over youtube,and damn-that bass just blows me away everytime!
I wish they didn't stop making this bass..It could be a really good seller!
And on Ebay its really a rare thing,and if so it costs about 1k more or less,and after about a day its already sold haha!

@allexcosta To be honest I just checked TB section and there were alot of people who sell the DJ.
Unfortunately most of them sold their ones,and I don't even know what is still for sale.
Fender is not such a lame brand,but they do(at least in my country) take alot of money just for their name...
And well,the only thing I think that they made good is the deluxe jazz.,that has the new active/passive switch.
Except for that they are still quite the same...
:D thanks for the help.

Is that Ebony fingerboard?
MushroomDisorder 11 months ago
@MushroomDisorder: Rosewood
allexcosta 11 months ago
@allexcosta Really?
Because it looks really black..like Ebony.
Probably high quality brazilian Rosewood which looks more like Ebony. :)
MushroomDisorder 11 months ago
@MushroomDisorder: Hehehehe, Brazilian Rosewood on a 1000 bucks korean bass? Can't be... It's just cheap Indian Rosewood that I keep well hydrated.

@allexcosta Oh...Haha :D.
Well it sure does look alot like Ebony,gives a nicer look to your bass(imo).
