  • The most important contribution in aid to soviet union in the war was american transport vehicles mainly studebaker trucks, this took pressure of the soviet automotive industry to concentrate on tank production. This aid was important and shortened the war however it was not decisive to the outcome of the war.

  • Yes the soviet union could have won the war alone it is possible, but that would have been in spite of Stalin.Stalin was in fact an admirer of Hitler and completely misjudged German intentions.Stalins purges of the military and meddling in military affairs caused untold losses on the soviet side,he also made an attempt to sue for peace with germany early on during the invasion fearing a total collapse of the Soviet Union.

  • @karilee22

One of the aspects that astonishes me of WWII was the first order ordered by Stalin when the Nazis invaded Soviet soil: "Move out to the borders with weapons armed at 77%".

Such a statement paints Stalin in his pure form, a bonehead military man.

  • Soviets were already smashing the Wermacht's most elite (and genocidal) troops and closing Hitler's death camps while the USA was busy in France (A Nazi R&R resort) saving Ryan's privates. BTW any industrialized nation could have defeated those little Japanese smurfs with their pretty little gardens and outdated weapons.

  • BIG OLE BAG OF BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! w/o the west. allies russia would've been forced into neg. w/ hitler. russia was and is a poor 3rd world country. it was the west. allies that destroyed germany's war making industry. w/o US industrial support russia didn't stand a chance, stalin (coward) sent everything he had against hitler - old men, women, children. the US industrial might won that war.

  • stalin is coward? wtf is wrong with you stalin is warse than hitler he killed half of the russian army cuz he felt like it and then he gave his army to marshal zhukov

  • The RAF won the war so your all brainwashed mwhahaha

  • British, USA? I will never respect USA for propaganda they give to people about ww2.

Not russians, SOVIETS won ww2. British was seriously injured, usa didn't even put a lot of effort into helping, but when they saw that soviets started pushing back nazis, they instantly fully supported war from west side.

My both grand-grand-parents died in ww2 and i'm proud of what they did, because they were heroes and always will be. I still have letters from them, I'll show them to my children one day

  • Hes full of shit, the nazis would have kicked there arse with out the USA

  • who took Berlin, and he won! It is Russia! Russia has done more to defeat the Nazis

  • @MultiRaf88 Russia took Berlin because Eisenhower let them take Berlin...

  • @mrrrighton Eisenhower couldnt take Berlin... he was 200 freaking miles away

  • @GassNaut The 101st Airborne was preparing for a jump on Berlin... The Americans let the Russians take Berlin because we were fighting 2 wars and we did not want more unnecessary deaths. Why send soldiers to take Berlin when they could send dogs?

  • @mrrrighton thats why i will never respect USA. You think that you won this war, but you didn't. What kind of propaganda you were brainwashed youngster.

You are just writing as it was, USA came defeated everybody and said: path is clear go soviets take over berlin . You didn't even put effort into ,what you call, ,,second war''. Have you even send at least 400 000 men into this ,,second war''?

  • @mrrrighton you're so funny, you brainwashed piece of shit :) there was no chance of an airforce to even get to the west side of berlin with all the zenit defences of Berlin that they could not move you idiot... and dont be jelous because the soviets won the war, they did 80% of the war all alone while you were having fun with Japan

  • @GassNaut You obviviously need to research your history you communist piece if shit. The Soviets were some of the worst warriors the world has ever seen. For every German killed 3.2 Russians died in the process. They won by sheer numbers and without the Allies, Russia wouldnt even be on the map today.

  • @mrrrighton haha, its funny how they brainwash you in your capitalistic economicly disasteress country! Soviets won the war, US DID ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING, NOTHING, sheer number? these soudiers were unprepared workers who defeated 5 times more technology advanced army not my sheer numbers, but by pure tactics you idiot! And dont reply to this, I just dont want tosee how such a fucked up piece of shit that doesnt deserve to live you fag! and remember your grandfather DID NOTHING IN THIS war you idiot

  • @GassNaut Haha the fact that you think the US did nothing shows how retarded you are. The Red Army was nothing without America they had no supplies, they relied on the Allies for everything they had. And they won by running at the Germans until they were out of ammo and then they would finally take the position. You fucking retard

  • @mrrrighton how does your brain imagine giving supplys from FUCKING US OR GB TO SOVIETS?? You are so retarded and dont even have a scence in hitsory knowlage!! Only the GB helped Soviets, US did nothing at all you brainwashed fuck

  • @mrrrighton hahahaha yeah the U.S. intervened only at the end of the war when the Soviet Union did everything so that the United States in the ass

  • @mrrrighton endurance is what wins wars. not how many people you kill dickhead

  • @GassNaut and stop fucking commenting on every "Russia" video, you act like a fucking 12 year old child... your USA is an economicly unstable country who caused the economical crysis, and all they do is bring war everywhere, and dont even regred it...

  • Hey, anybody remember those pesky japs? the US was fighting 2 wars, a 3rd of her military was in the pacific fighting as well. also, w/o the US which was sending much needed supplies for russia's part in the war there's no telling how it would've gone. russia could not have done it alone, 1 on 1 russia would've ended up in a forced treaty with hitler. and the UK was to badly damaged to mount any kind of offensive in mainland europe. the US industrial might won ww2 (both theaters).

  • HAHA look at all the dislikes. No doubt it's from brain washed Americans who think they won WW2 on their own. Russia was the true hero and anyone with a brain today knows this.

  • @MultiRaf88 No, the real winners were the allies themselves. Everyone worked together to win that fight. Millions of Russians died, the rest survived from American made boots for the winter.

  • The Allies opened a Western Front in 1944before that she was fighting RUSSIAso that RUSSIA WON AND NOT YOU, you are promoting your victory but it is not

  • Russia really won WW2

  • 85% of the troops fighting on the eastern front, only 15% were on the west, the Soviet Union broke the course of the war and win

  • @24meatballs Germany took ideas from American tech. like the semi-automatic rifle, M1 Grand. Not to mention every country is using interchangeable parts fore production which was, by the way, invented by Americans. Oh, and you may want to work on your English a bit. No offense.

  • this is dumb!!!!

ok less say the russian where the only ones lift!!!

The germans will had creaeted better jets fighters and better weapons to even kill stop the russian in there tracks.

so i dont think they could have done it them selves

  • yes they could have, lend lease supplies accounted for 4% of soviet military supplies, 85% of german casualties were on eastern front. By the time allies landed in 44, germany was in full retreat, and the red army was conquering large areas in the balkans. the real reason allies landed in D Day, was to prevent all of europe from becoming communist. An example of how americans think they won the war, is when you compare operation bagration with D Day, few people know about Bagration.

  • stalin wasnt a genocidal killer?? big question mark there!!!!

  • @loocsiyeltsakcir The real winners were the Allies, not the Soviet Union.

  • @Underyourstaircase The real winners were the Russia and not you!

  • @loocsiyeltsakcir Oh and by the way, it was either the atomic bombings or loose a lot more lives with a full on invasion. So the nukes were necessary. I can't this is possible, but you're giving the Soviet Union to much credit.

  • @loocsiyeltsakcir And this was after Okinawa, Iwo Jima, and Midway?

  • @rimlanin Yeah, cause we all know Russia had a navy to fight the mighty Japanese fleet.

  • @Underyourstaircase no the russia would give german more time with there weapons like the jet fighter, seeking missle , assult rifle, helicopter, rockets

if the germans had 2 years they had a very good chance winning the war

  • people who disliked this video have no idea about actual world history, or the brave sacrifice of the soviet people in the war.

  • @psispray Russia won WWII but if we lost, there was no way the Axis could capture the Americas' in time before the atomic bomb was finished.

  • @Underyourstaircase lol if the germans had more time they would had crush russia with there jet fighters and seeking missle .

they would simple way more advance then the alles

even the alles took the german technology after the war like the figher , assult rifle , rocket, helicopter and made them selfs one

  • @hhhaaa68 Britain was busy fighting Germany in the west front. So Britain can't send aid to help the soviets. America was busy aiding Britain and fighting in Africa and Japan. But they did send a good amount of exports to The Soviet Union.

  • @TheOmnipresentPigeon You assume they're Americans when they could also be Britsh, Canadian, or maybe French.

  • Yes, the soviet union could have easily destroyed germany by the end but the war would last longer, there would also be the japanese who would also continue the war. The soviet union at the time was at full swing but without help it may not have been enough. The US, Commonwealth and Soviet alliance was probably the best test of unity the world has ever saw.

  • @JenischMarcelo

and yes I understand that thee naval blockade and lend-lease and u-boat production did something... but not as much as a massive russian assault of 20 million men

  • @JenischMarcelo

well of course not... but then again, how many men would volunteer?

And, take all the british and u.s. combined from the whole war and its not even a million.

  • @JenischMarcelo

And if the U.S. had to face the brunt of german forces, non tied up in Russia, there would've been 2,000,000 men and tigers waiting at normandy. COming up against.... 200,000.

  • @loocsiyeltsakcir

(at the beaches in the 2,000,000 men and tigers I mean)

  • @JenischMarcelo

and yes, all the trucks and such given by the lend-lease would require signiicantly lower numbers of tank production and such. but in the lend-lease, U.S. tanks were almost never deciseively used in a battle as they made easy targets with their high sillhouettes (like the m3 lee grant) and extremely thin and non-well shaped armor. Most were relocated to areas where german AT resistance was nill.M3 lee grant got the name "grave for seven brothers"

  • @JenischMarcelo

the mass luftwaffe bombings actually helped though as it created natural fortresses of rubble, impassable by vehicles, giving tenacious russian resistance the edge. AFter Stalingrad, it was full retreat and germany didn't stand a chance. I admit that the luftwaffe commitments to the west helped early on, but in 1943 and on, after Russians had gained intiative, their airforce production skyrocketed as did their plane quality

  • @JenischMarcelo

Ok but I don't see American ground forces encircling a hundred thousand german soldiers each week as they stomp another major town.... Look up soviet-steamroller. I have seen no instances "blitzkrieg style" wins by U.S. All are slow and drawn out conflicts with little progress. Market Garden was a Failure, as were many other similar well 'media hidden' events. And Stalingrad was where the initiative changed hands. Air force was negligible in brutal street fights

  • 184 people are stupid americans....

  • @JenischMarcelo

I like your well rounded thinking. Cheers.

(but all u.s./british forces put together were smaller than Russia but I acknowledge their contributions and while they didn't win the war, they helped making stuff slightly easier although russians with slightly more difficulty woudl still have won.)

  • btw, at the Yalta Conference, Roosevelt asked Stalin to attack the Japanese. Even he respects the Russian military power. BTW Russians at least respected japanese as tenacious fighters. Americans were real arrogant and unfriendly making frequent racist remarks and playing games with japanese as they shot them dead.

  • It's pathetic how long it took Americans to take each island. Soviet won the entire manchuria campaign in 11 days taking virtually all of eastern asia and they also took the kiril islands. I'm pretty sure America would've taken at least 4 months considering the japanese had around 1.3 million troops, more than all the U.S. put together. How absolutely gosh darn pathetic.

    Also, watch?v=-_LwBBH26_0&feature=related

Look at all the parts. part 5 and 8 are pretty good.

  • Yo guys, all of you talking about how America beat Japan, invasion of Manchuria. While nukes probably (AS INHUMANE AS THEY ARE LIKE YOU U.S. RETARDS) would've won through cowards war anyway, the Soviet invasion of Manchuria (search Soviet-japanese War in wikipedia) really shows their tactical thinking that so many think they lack. They actually didn't heavily outnumber the japanese, and actually, 85% of Japan's number strength was in Manchuria, right where Russia hit.

  • Those of you making generalizations about Americans are just as guilty. Just accept that some Americans, such as myself, think the Soviets could have won on their own and acknowledge the 20-35 million Soviet deaths (the numbers vary and are undeterminable to a degree), and others just don't know, even though our textbooks mention events like Stalingrad.

Also, Russia doesn't equal Soviet! The worst fighting occurred in Belarus, Ukraine, and other areas, though Russia suffered terribly.

  • Britain and the US were standing-steel waiting for the collapse of the Soviet Union when Russians were forced to the corner and fighting with the Germans in Stalingrad.

  • lol what a surprise....more pro-kremlin propaganda from the russian government-funded "news" program RussiaToday....

  • yo guys, look up "Sherman Engineering Disaster"

    Funny

  • It is generally accepted that "from the early 1920s until 1933, the Soviet Union was engaged in secret collaboration with the German military to enable it to circumvent the provisions of the Versailles Treaty", which prohibited Germany's military production.

  • Stalin escalated tensions in Europe by providing a combination of economic and military support to Hitler. (Soviet-German relations before 1941). Stalin's plan and vision was that Hitler's predictability and his violent reactionary ideas made him a candidate to the role of "icebreaker" for the Communist revolution. By starting wars with European countries, Hitler would warrant the USSR joining World War II by attacking Nazi Germany and "liberating" and Sovietizing all of Europe.

  • However, to mislead the West, they officially declared an adherence to a more peaceful theory of Socialism in One Country, according to which Socialism can win in a single country, without being immediately overthrown by hostile "capitalist" neighbors. This leading country would then help revolutionary movements in other countries. Either way, the Soviet pre-war doctrine was based on Marxism-Leninism theory that capitalism will be overthrown through Communist revolution.

  • America, listen what professor saying to you, thank MotherRussia to you still alive and remember 27 million of brave russian soldiers who bring peace in our world.

  • Wait scratch the m3 stuart grave thing.... It was actually the m3 lee/grant "grave for seven brothers". Not much better eh?

  • Also, when you find that only Americans see america as the heroes, and some americans don't, its clear they aren't. Russians think they are the real winners, as well as Germans and all of Europe and most of Asia. MANY americans think so too... guess who has the better cause.

  • Also just saying guys, the lend-lease helped a lot in the trucks department and metal, but the U.S. tanks sent over like the Stuart and Sherman were HATED. Every advantage they were supposed to have was outdone by the T-34. Reliability, speed, overall mobility, as well as firepower and armor. U.S. tanks also had a high silhouette, making an easy target. The Stuart even got the nickname "grave for four brothers". U.S. tanks couldn't stand up to the intense fighting in the east.

  • They could have ...? Actually they did!

Without the Russians fighting the Germans from the east, Germany would have won WW2.

    The Russians defeated Germany.

Thanks to Hollywood propaganda Americans and British believe in a fairy tale version of WW2 history.

  • @Lintflas

    right on bro

  • @Lintflas lol

lets say that russia was the only ones fighting ?

the germans wll had more time with there jets and there weapons they would had crush russia

the only way German got defeat was becease of the bombing of the factories there technology was way advance then us. they had better everything then us ..

  • @Lintflas no , ok if they just had a little more time they would have crush russia and britan because of the jet fighters and assult rifle and seeking missles they would had created

russia would not have a chance if the war lasted longer

  • @Lintflas I agree with your point on the Americans, but the British did a good job in the beginning. Well, they got their asses kicked but at least they stood up to the mighty Germans.

  • @Lintflas Thats not true the Germans would have defeated the Soviets if they did not have to split their troops to reinforce the western front. The Germans were crushing the Soviets, The Soviets were no match for the German War Machine. Had Hitler decided to press onto Moscow instead of Stalingrad Nazi Germany would have crushed the CCCP. Also Russia would not have the AK 47 had it not been for Germanys STG 44. The soviets were weak and won simply by sheer numbers. They were not warriors.

  • @mrrrighton You are a brain washed ungrateful fucking idiot...

  • @SageSwag How am i ungrateful? I mean can you give me some reasoning or facts on why you disagree? You call me brain washed but at least i can provide some reasoning behind my thoughts...

  • @mrrrighton you truly are an ungrateful fuck, people like you should die in a fucking war, alone, in a fucking prison cell

  • @GassNaut I still don't understand how im an "ungrateful fuck" i stated my opinion about the Germans and facts about the Russians and AK... but keep on cussing big guy it makes you look real smart.

  • @mrrrighton you should keep your mouth shut, and not discriminate in any means the people thankful to you're fucking speaking english right now, and europe is not full of freaking nazis. You're not even a bit worth those people lives if you have such an additute

  • I wouldn't give all the credit to one nation...you can brag how your nation "could have won without any help" but in war we need all the help we can get when or we lose men. I respect nations like France and Sweden for participating more than I can say they did nothing.

British and USA did what was right. Without them Germany would control North Africa and wouldn't have their factories bombed in the west. Also it would have cut slacked for Hitler to make V-2 rockets.

  • The only one fact i believe here is that Soviet Union could won the eastern front alone.

  • @TheAdrianStalker

yo man.... Eastern Front was the war.... think of it like this. Russians killed more than 5,000,000 germans. The WHOLE western front wasn't even a million.

  • @loocsiyeltsakcir

Ya, that what exactly i mean. Eastern fronts was hell compared to other fronts where Russian alone suffered almost half of the entire casualties in WW2.

  • @TheAdrianStalker

oh.... uh sorry... but yeah, you got it right on!

  • also, U.S. are such hypocrites btw. They talk about atrocities but forget about the slave trade, mass killing of innocent japanese with nukes, putting japanese civilians living in the U.S. in labor camps cause of spy paranoia, killing hundreds of thousands of Native Americans, the list goes on and on

  • U.S. arrogance is disgusting. If I could do one thing I would inform all the misinformed in the world. Please don't be blind and add the the INTERNATIONAL hate on America. Be clearheaded. And why all the dislikes? can't take the fact that your precious U.S.A U.S.A!!!!!! didn't win the war in 1 day by itself?

  • I'm an American, but I agree that the USSR won WW2 and saved the world. I also have to point out that if Japan didn't attack America wasn't planning on getting militarily involved.

  • How many of those casualties were caused by Stalin.

  • I believe Turkey ( an undecided and neutral state at that time ) and Fascist Spain would have joined the Axis powers and contributed with their manpower and resources if Leningrad ( Piter ), Moscow and Stalingrad ( Volgo ) would have been capturedm

  • WWII would have been won by the USSR,even if it recieved no help at all by the Allies or the US. All what would have happened, is the war would have lasted a couple more years, while they clear out Italy and Japan.

  • @rimlanin

WWII could have been won by germany just as likely as USSR could've won. Germany had better training, better equipment and if hitler would've have made is arrogant misstakes it is quite possibly that the USSR could've been defeated.

Lets not be arrogant and assume that USSR would've won alone, but germany made some serious mistakes in planning which caused their defeat in east.

  • @zauii89 *wouldn't* pardon my spelling error(s).

  • @zauii89 The USSR could have won, there is no doubt about that. There comes a point where its just the sheer number of forces you have that wins you the battle. Problem is, after you win the war, you are left with devastation and have to rebuild it all over again.

  • @rimlanin Russia actually invanvded Manchuria and defeated 650000 japanese peoples

  • Just to give some people a perspective, I'm a 14 year old American boy, and the ignorance of most of the students in my school is terrible! In my US history class almost no emphasis was placed on the help from other countries. I cannot stand the arrogance of today's society.

  • No the USSR couldnt have defeated Germany on its own - at BEST it would have been a draw.

In 1942 alone Germany lost some 5000 trucks 500 tanks and 1000 aircraft in North Africa + an additional 2000 aircraft in the air war over Germany.

Without fighting the Werst they would have been all sent to russia.

There would also have been no need to buil some 280 U boats that year= an additional 3000 or 4000 tanks produced

The USSR gets no Lend Lease 4000 tanks and 4500 aicraft in 1942 alone

  • WTF he says stalin was not genosidal? communist regime

intentionally killed millions of ukrainians by taking away all their harvest that was gathered in 1937 which leaded to mass starvation and death of about 10 million people in Ukraine alone

  • @cyberic853 and what about russians, who died because od the same on Kuban?

    Stupid proamerican propaganda.

  • War like that might have stretched into the 50's! Like another WW1 but an even more massive scale! Would be interesting to have seen German development without the interference caused by the loss of the war and subsequent surrender.

  • Its a well known fact, The Soviet Union would have been defeated without the Allies. You ask how? It was the Allies who made the Red Army mobile, It was the Allies who gave the Soviet vital intel, It was the British who kept the Axis fighting on many Western Fronts and making Hitlers life hell. We all know the Soviet Union played the main role during the war, But they could not win alone.

  • This is obvious.

  • All the comments here proves that Americans Havel low iq

  • @yichentohjoel yes, because five people on the youtube comment board represent all Americans. Develop some analytical skills before commenting.

  • You have to think about Japan. Instead of attacking USA they could have helped bomb Russia. Although that is not what happen, I am just happy I don't have to speak German.

  • what saved the Soviet Union was the non aggression treaty with Japan, had Japan invaded the Soviet Union from the East, that would have drawn massive amounts of units from the fight with Germany, now lets go on this theory that the U.S.S.R. is alone, you have millions of Japanese troops in the east and millions of Italian and Germans in the west. You assault in the spring and summer and go defensive in the winter, I think at best you end in stalemate at worst the Soviet Union collapses

  • russia could not have beaten, germany + italy and Japan alone. They couldnt even beat Finland in 1940 lol

  • @sprPee Learn your history you idiot. who trained most of the germans before the war .. who did most of the fighting? does stalingrad, Novorossiysk, Manchuria, Berlin ring a bell?? people like you give Americans a bad name GO STUDY!!

  • fuck off RT scum

  • actually, gotta correct something. hitler did kill his own people. it was called the knight of the long knives.

  • agree that the soviets could have beaten hitler alone, but disagree with the apologetic treatment of stalin, that is a load of shit because this is a russian news channel. hitler is probably better than stalin, if he you had to choose a despot to live under. stalin killed more and indiscriminately - he used to have a quota, x murders per town. at least with hitler if you were a german, or one of his allies, he gave a shit for you welfare. hitler didn't liquidate his officers like stalin either.

  • @aglorincz ummm, yeah, Hitler did liquidate his own officers. The SA, several close Nazi party members to, and the Wehrmacht, such as Erwin Rommel.

  • Long war Maybe... But a full force advance from the German army would have destroyed USSR. Besides hilter made so many mistakes... terrible commander.

  • @1MuchButteR1 So was Stalin. in 1941 and early '42 he basically didn't allow his officers to do what they wanted, after he let the officers have more control the Red Army started to gain victory after victory. (Although their industry kicked in at this time too.)

  • @1MuchButteR1 So did the U.S. Genereals. Typical igornance of your kind.

Think of it this way. America outnumbered the reserves on the wetsern front 5:1 and didn't win in 2 weeks? What a shame...

  • She's a babe.

  • 1 on 1 noone could defeat German.

    The Soviets got from Lend Lease 22 000 aircraft and 12 000 tanks, 2000 locomotives and 12 000 train waggons, 375 000 trucks, 51 000 Jeeps and

35 000 motircycles. And MILLIONS of TONS of food, ammunition and fuel.

Not to menation all the tanks and planes and troops that were occupied in Africa and the West + all the U boats thatz had to be built + the allied air offensive.

USA+GB on the other hand couldnt win without the 300+ Russian divisions

  • @Denorius01 I think what they meant was could the Soviet Union have won MILITARILY on it's own, the US was involved with seriously outfitting the British Expeditionary Force and the Red Army long before lend-lease, and even prior to the Second World War.

  • @WrestleFan1993

Alone the USSR could perhaps have stopped the Germans but never pushed them back - and thats no military victory.

  • @Denorius01

I admit they are big contributions, but if there was a war, and you had 1,000,000 men, would you rather add 300 divisions or more equipment?

  • @loocsiyeltsakcir

10 000 men with 1000 tanks are stronger than 100 000 men with 100 tanks.

The Allies won together - neither GB/USA/USSR could have won on their own.

Lend lease delivered to the USSR over 10 000 tanks and over 20 000 aircraft and

375 000 trucks and millions of tons of food, fuel, ammunition ect ect

And the air war + war in Africa kept thousands of tanks and planes from the Eastern front.

While Russia did bind enough German troops so USA/GB had a chance

  • @Denorius01

I respect you for the acknowledgement that the Russians actually did something in World War II as opposed to many. However I would like to respectfully disagree in that after Germany's initial Blitzkrieg attempt with Barbarossa failed, Germany had no prospect as its armies and troops were not conditioned for a drawn out battle. As soon as Stalingrad was won, it was full on retreat for the Germans. Extra tanks from africa would help but not stop the red tide.

  • @loocsiyeltsakcir

German losses in the West: over 1000 Uboats + 100 warships around 10 000 tanks around 50 000 aircraft and over 2 Million killed + POW Germans

German losses in the East: less than 10 U boats less than 10 warships, over 30 000 tanks around 50 000 aircraft and over 6 million killed + POW Germans

So if there is no USSR the US/GB would have to fight all that=defeat for USA/GB

If there is no USA/GB the USSR would have to fight all that + No LL=defeat

    Allies won together

  • @Denorius01

Most of your losses in the West were before the great D-Day. Also, Britain was the equal contributor in terms of men compared to the U.S..

Also, why the heck are you counting naval battles in the East as a major point? THERE IS NO TACTICAL BODIES OF WATER TO CONTROL IN RUSSIA. Also, after Stalingrad, it was just a Russian steamroller from there. A few extra men wouldn't have helped too much. Also, as far as I know, There were about 8,000,000 killed in the east.

  • @Denorius01

3 million captured and dead, 5,000,000 killed. I'm not questioning you really but I would also like to know where you get your Western Front Statistics. Also, most air losses in the west were in Africa, a SIGNIFICANTLY BRITISH with lend-lease support force. There were some Americans tho.

  • @Denorius01

Also, I would like to say that the biggest U.S. contribution was lend lease as you may have worded so forth and that a large brunt of the North African Campaign was led by the British with much lend-lease support. Also, the U.S. commited one of the smallest troop:population ratios in the war. Also, 10,000,000 men with 5,000 tanks can beat 1 million with 10000 tanks factoring AT guns and anti-vehicle infantry weapons.

  • I'm an American i didnt use the dislike button. I believe Russia played a hugr part in the war as well as the U.S. n other countries. Im proud to be an American but i do respect all allied nations bcuz no One nation is the BEST. if any country thinks their the best race or strongest, ur no better than Hitler n the Nazi

  • Here's the truth stalin was pure evil... but his ruthlessness and very strong will gave the army even more determination to fight. stalin had a way of speaking that made the people feel he was behind them and that they had to defend the motherland at all costs. Stalin worked hard to show that the germans weren't immortal and could be defeated through russian patriotism

  • 27 million lost their lives well the germans killed over 12 million civilians

  • all the dislikes are from the west shut the fuck up u soft lil bitches.. we russians saved the world from nazism because were russian

  • @Jenisch1990

I never said that the western allies "didn't have nothing to do with those figures". However many ( not *all*) american and british people have a warped view on history/ww2 ( as sb. already stated) and frequently downplay the role of the SU. Many people don't really care about history and get all their knowledge from hollywood movies, which make it seem like the US won the war singlehandedly against superior numbers of elite-nazis that somehow get mowed down like stormtroopers.

  • lol, for most Germans it's no question who was most responsible for the loss of WW2 -> Russia ( thankfully, no German "patriot" would support what was going on in the 3rd Reich) . About 80% of all German forces were stationed at the eastern front and about 80% of casualties occurred there. It was a whole other dimension of war in the east, on a material and moral/ethical level. The real war happened there. The many dislikes show the ignorance and arrogance of many people in the West...

  • @lulzwarrior i agree but the whole ignorance in and only in the west seems unnessary to blame them to hate this video

  • @lulzwarrior woow, 80% ? i live in the netherlands and i agree the russians saved us not the americans. they helped us tolate.. and russians were pushing very hard

  • We should all(excluding the Americans who generally have a warped view on history) be grateful for the bravery and courage of the red army. They fought the fiercest army in the world and beat them decisively in the most significant and most important war in modern history.

  • The Russians were closing in on Poland before America,Britian,France and other allies made into France. Most of Germany's army was in Russian territory not Italy Normandy of North Africa.Russia would have never quit and that is the main factor. The Germans never even got half-way to half of Russia.

  • (ccpmixam)No we were at war with germany in north africa at the time. and germany was losing men on both fronts. But it was too front war vs The USSR , The US, and Great Britain. That is why germany couldn't win. Now with out The US involvement the war would have been very bad for Britain, and The USSR. Britain couldn't win with out the US. And if the US doesn't get involved Hitler would have conquered them both.

  • захватчики получили пиз.ы теперь негодуют?

  • This is bull shit Hitler wood have beat the shit out of the USSR, China, and Mongolia had it not been for Great Britain, and us americans.

  • @blackjacklover70 You're a very nice example for stupid americans thinking america won the war on their own. When america started to fight against germany russia already won the fight in stalingrad and was in advance!

  • @CCCPmixam you seem to forget that the united states were fighting in two theaters. wwii axis powers included germany, italy, and japan, primarily.

  • @CCCPmixam he didn't say the USA won on its own. great reading comprehension there asshole. Could the USSR have won a 1v1 war against the Nazis? hard to say but it'd be a damn longshot. The USSR war effort was kept afloat by American and British supplies and support. If the Germans weren't fighting a two-front war and could focus everything on conquering Russia I doubt the Soviets could have survived but who's to say. Luckily for the Russians, they had allies.

  • @cuchulainn424 No, the main tank supplied was the M4A3 Sherman. Russian tank crews described them as being awful, and barely ever worked. The gears stuck, the gun was terrible, most of these tanks were phased out as quickly as possible for the T-34. And the Germans focused 80% of their forces against the USSR. If Russia did not join the war, we would have been fucked. Then of course, you have the massive amount of minor axis nations too. the soviet union outnumbered them all.

  • lol Russia Today bullshit

Russia could of won WW2 by itself and Stalin was a hero

    rofl

  • @WonderBread006 are you a retard? 27million russians died fighting germans and uk and france lost around 200,000 do you need help understanding these numbers or have u done maths before?????

  • of other secret communists in the manhattan project would have supplied the USSR EARLIER with the information they needed for a big weapon. This would bring the Soviet Union into the nuclear era more ealier. And as far as weapons go, Stalin's NKVD would probably force the people to work and make weapons (unfortunately). This is my opinion that i think makes sense. Plzz dont get mad at me its just my opinion

  • I looked up "gobachev asks for milk machines" and the truth is, i didn't find anything pertaining to this discussion. Anyways, you said that Germany would have nuked the USSR by 1950. In 1949, Russia was NOT in a war, so it did not have an extreme urge to produce nuclear weapons. If Russia was the only force against the axis powers, then they would have searched anywhere and everywhere as quick as possible to find a leading scientist to produce a nuclear weapon. The 2 Rosenbergs and a whole lot

  • I disagree

Take USA,UK and major allies out of the picture, Russians would have been defeated by 1948. Russia does not have US/UK supplies and support. All troops from africa, france, italy ann planes from UK are all at one front.

BY 1947, Germany would have the NUCLEAR BOMB and would have developed jet planes, nuke dropped on moscow and leave before radar would pick it up.

Russia played an important role, but they could not on their own. Learn WW2 german technology.

  • @theend1011 The Soviet Union did not need the supplies from the UK and the US AS MUCH as they needed their own manufactured weapons. The 2 five year plans that Stalin launched, shortly prior to the German invasion, gave the Russians a good amount of military equipment for usage. Russia defeated the Nazis on the eastern front and pushed them all the way back to BERLIN. As I said, it would take the Russian a whole lot longer to win the war with serveral more casualties.

  • @theend1011 Germany would have most likey produced a nuclear weapon at that point and the Soviet Union would see that and start their own nuclear industry (just like it saw America's atomic bomb and then started the nuclear weapon industry). In due time, the hydrogen bomb would have been made and used, thank God it wasn't. So like I said, the Allied forces greatly helped with the outcome of the war, but TECHNICALLY, the Soviet Union could have won by itself.

  • @TheJaceMaster

one problem HOW CAN YOU MAKE YOUR N-BOMB IF YOU DON"T HAVE THE SUPPLIES.Germany would have nuked the hell out if the USSR by 1950. the ONLY reason russia had the n-bomb in 1949 was because of captured NAZI scientists and the H-bomb in the mid 1950'd because of the rosenburgs. Russia's technology/ scientists SUCKED (Ex: google "gorbachev asks for milk machines", see how sucky USSR tech. was) Germany or the US would have bombed them to ashes before they made it by themselves.

  • But you guys gotta admit, even though the Soviet Union most likely could have won ww2 by itself, the alliance with the USA and Britain ended the war much faster, otherwise it would have taken the USSR much longer to win the war, and the Soviet casualties would have been dramatically devastating. Even though the US didn't play a role as great as the soviet Union, 405 thousand Americans deaths IS a lot, and they deserve as much honor and respect as it's allies.

  • @takeitharder

Get your facts right, germany was an excellent army yes and they might've won if they did some better tactical decision, however USA didn't do shit in comparance to Russia.

  • @zauii89 I think your just mad you don't live in the one and only great USA.

  • @MrMikerose48 are you stupid? China owns you

  • @mrosbaumm YOur stupid. No country owes us. China is in debt to Europe. Europe is in debt to the USA. and USA is in debt to china. is a triangle. if u kno what that is. and china will never be a superpower. India will be there to counter chinese growth as well as russia and the US.

  • You all hate America. Whoever hates on America are very ignorant. We created everything. Invented everything. Invented nuclear missiles. Everything. Invented internet, electronics, microwaves. Anything you can think of. So i would shut your mouth if i were you.

  • @MrMikerose48

No, you did not create much, but take old ideas and renovate them.

Your guns come from the gunpowder discovery from China.

Your paper come from the making of paper from China.

The first computers were of Japanese.

The math you use today is of arab, indian, mayan, and chinese descent.

The chemistry you used today was of greek and arab descent.

The sewage system and water treatment system you used today is of arab descent.

You only took old things and renovated them.
