Some teams just draft really well.

The Packers have been insane at drafting the last few years.

Nick Collins, BJ Raji, Aaron Rodgers, Desmond Bishop, Tramon Williams, Jermicheal Finley, Jordy Nelson, Gregg Jennings, Matt Flynn, Josh Sitton, etc.

The Steelers are the only other team that has had similar success drafting.

It is an in-exact science but some teams really do their homework and hit on most picks.

It still kills me that as a 49ers fan, SF passed on Rodgers. Not to mention he's a Northern California kid as well as having went to college and played with Cal. Not to mention he grew up on the 49ers and being a fan of Montana and Young.

@zzap999 - Well here's the thing. If the niners drafted Rodgers I'm not sure if we would've got Jim Harbaugh as our coach now. We probably have gone to the playoffs a bunch of times but never win the SB. McCarthey would have gone to GB anyway after that 05 year and Rodgers would have other cordinators to work with. Without Alex Smith sucking for all those years we would'nt have drafted all our players we have now who some were 1st rounders in the drafts. So thanks Alex Smith.

@calia337 Jim Harbaugh doesn't play anymore. The niners defense has always played effectively during the last Alex years. And yes we wouldn't need Harbaugh if Rodgers was the niner QB. That was Mike Nolans ego issue with Rodgers, that he would overshadow the head coach. Peyton Manning has the same effect and I don't hear Colts fans complaining.
