@kanetidus yes its a continuation, takes place after the origins story line, just after the defeat of the dark spawn. Its suppose to be about the rebuilding the grey wardens. Its also an expansion pack so you need the first game to play it.

nope, from the interview with one of the dragon age people ( i forgot who ) you're only getting to use only one from the origins game. You don't get to choose btw, it's probably part of the story

@wawewawo It has been confirmed some of the old characters will be coming back, though zeveran was not confirmed, nor was morrigan. I feel they holding out on morrigan for DA:O 2 which from what I heard is in production though not much details been released. Would be interesting to see who they allow back for this expansion.

No it's not. It takes place in Ferelden, mostly around Amaranthine. The main character is from Orlais IF you don't load your old save for it.

This is technically still the first one, just an expansion (like Shivering Isles for Oblivion.) And it is a lot different than Oblivion

@marquisdespookiness :P He is good comic relief though, for a dwarf.  No, Oghren was confirmed to returning as were a couple of others but I forget who. I do know sten, morrigan or leliana was not confirmed or even hinted for return. I think Alisatar was also meant to be returning in this one to. So who knows who the secret companion is.
