  • OMG! 5th positions! Sooo amazing!

  • Ez a pas de deux nem erről szól amit ők csinálnak. Ez egy szép tánc nem egy balettverseny vagy egy vizsga. A kevesebb sokszor több. A lány kevés a fiú túl sok. Sok a lábdobálás és a fölösleges karok. Eröltetett előadásmód semmi természetesség.

  • Wow wow wow wow!!!

  • they're both awesome dancers! And they danced this beautifully. But you can see, that they are not trained in the Bournonville style. Their movements are too big. But it was still a lovely performance :)

  • que leveza é essa ?

  • que leveza é essa ?

  • The dancing is very, very nice. But its not Bournoville. Style is wrong, costumes are wrong. Coaching is wrong. Check out Alina Cojocaru & Johan Kobborg if you want to really see it actually danced correctly. The problem with Russian dancing, as exemplified here, is that its like having a conversation and being yelled at the entire time.

  • @avatar1964 I agree, though, I'm sure you'll agree that that bigness is also the thing that's right with Russian dancing, in the right pieces. Here, of course, it's a bit... disconcerting. Beautiful dancers, absolutely wonderful facility and technique, just a totally wrong interpretation. It's almost like they were actually trying to do the biggest parody of Russians trying to do Bournonville they could think of.

  • @mojojojoplus2 I completely agree with you. Its just that the bigness has its place and time and thats certainly NOT all the time and NOT in every place.

  • @avatar1964 Have to agree...

  • It's just not the same without the little black and white slippers, even if the dancing is spectacular. :) It's a much better visual, especially on those entrechats.

  • I didn't like her part in this I just didn't enjoy it for some reason. I think she is very talented but I think I might prefer Alina somova

  • How old was he in here?

  • 19, it was year after her graduation from Vaganova Academy.

  • Awesome but I don't think that Leonid Sarafanov should show off his extentions so much.

  • what??? if a man has extension, I think he should show it off--this Leonid is every director's dream.

  • A perfect Leonid honoring the Danish School with perfect placement and batterie, with a russian flair. Perfect together.

  • who´s this man???????

  • I didn't realize Bournonville needed to be cool to appreciate it.

Maybe this Russian-nization appeals to some but it marginalizes what characterizes both schools of dance. What you end up with is a mishmash that make no sense.

  • this is very very true!!!

  • I watched Sarafanov's performance once in Taipei this summer, it seems that he never failed his audience <3<3

  • oh~~i watched that gala in taiwan ,too amazing triple double tours in Tchovosky PDD, and also impressive attitude turns in Corsaire variation!! aswome!!
