I've always been curious, was it simply that Dorian responded exceptionally well to steroids, or was he using something else that no one else had utilized at the time?

@Gilligan346 He had exceptional response. He didn't do anything new except raise his GH dose to levels no one had before, and also he was the first to learn how to use insulin properly. People used that stuff in the 80's but not perfected like Dorian.

@metalhead121 I think it has to do with the process BBers go through to get ripped and conditioned. This was before the olympia so he was still in the process of cutting down which made his muscles look fuller and bigger. Obviously his BF and water was low enough here to still look cut as hell though. By the time he gets to the olympia he is fully cut and looks more ripped but his muscles won't look quite as full.
