Dude 5800 SUX !!! i had the same question b4 i buy this shitty mobile 5730 or 5800 let me tell u 5800 is the worst mobile ever when u see it on the internet it loox cool cuz its all touch screen bla bla bla but for the OS its really the worst ever, full of bugs always crash i formatted the phone memonry over 6 times in 2 months because when it crashes u cant open the contacts or the number pad so its useless until u format it...please buy the 5730 thats what am gonna do

One last thing, if you are getting this phone for its music fetaures then you might get disappointed, it is not that great ... i still use my iPod! the volume is not high enough and the equalizer does not seem to really affect anything, it is not that bad, it is just not that great.

I got this phone a week ago, i love it! it is really easy to use and packed with lots of great applications and gadgets inside ... i moved from LG Arena, i hated the touch phones! i need a full QWERTY keyboard, trust me, it can make your life easier if you SMS, Facebook, Tweet, Email a lot :)

I love it, it is practical, easy to use, Stylish, typing is easy and comfortable, yes it has Wi-Fi .. The Camera is "ok" as all phone cameras are, i personally do not use phone cameras coz they have Bad Iso but it is good anyway, it has good features. Buy it :)

yeh I totally agree. That phone is not hackable and doesn't get virus threats. I'm having some problem with charger not working and I couldn't find a single place where they said they could repair.

i needed a phone with a capability of reading pdf and i also needed a full keyboard so E63 was the best phone as Nokia 5730 has limitations with business features.

I really love this phone except the camera sux badly. I mean everything else seems to be fine but the camera is crappy. Overall, i really like my phone even though there's still some trouble with the camera lol

The n79 is a really good phone. I have had to for a year now, dropped it a bunch of times on concrete from 4 feet up and it still works like new. But now I am getting the 5730, cuz more features and qwerty keyboard. I don't enjoy touch screen phones.

If you buy a early version of any gadget (when it first comes out) it will have faults, that's unavoidable.

Um, €280 actually according to the Nokia press release. That's the same price Nokia gave for the 5800 prior to its release.

Which means the Nokia 5730 is very likely to have a launch price of £250 in the UK.

I had a 5800 XM when they were first released. Three in fact, each of them replaced due to a different fault. They're like cheap, creaky, plastic toys with light leaks all over the place. The touch resistive screen was so disappointing, I decided to avoid the N97 and go for the 5730 XM instead.

Why so interested in a 5800 then? FWIW, I owned an N79 too. Go lookup my account on Flickr (same username) and you'll see what happened to it within days. No surprise there. I had an N85 before that and that fell apart too. The N95 was the last reliable handset I had from Nokia. It's a miracle I'm considering the 5730XM really, but on paper, it's technically superior to handsets like the N79.

and before anybody says "but the camera's got more megapixels", well yeah, but the sensor is crap and the aperture too small.  So the picture quality is appalling (nowhere near the quality of pics produced by the N95 - which also had a 5MP camera, but better sensor/bigger aperture).

I've been using Sony Ericsson for 3 years, and my Sony Ericsson's camera sucks now, when I call, I can't hear anything, and sometimes it freezes and switches off when I'm speaking to someone. I think that European mechanism is better than the Japanese one.. my opinion
