@MoneyLovesJay She uses paper medical tape & brushes foundation on it to match her skin. She just said it in the video. Watch 1 of her other videos where she shows the technique. Also, she's wearing a full lace wig not just a lace front. Lace fronts don't have that much parting space.
My head is small so NO WIG ever fits my head I cannot afford the extra cost to have them fitted to my head which is the size of an 8 year old. So this I will add to the ways I do make them fit.
@FindingFeeFee I have the exact same problem! I've had to do major "surgery" on stock wigs to get them to fit. But I recently decided to order size smalls and I may try custom at some point. There are some companies that actually carry size small wigs, i.e. 21.5 circumference.
could you tell us how you made the part look so naturally when you were wearing it? i never had a lace front wig and would really like tobachieve this look do you have to buy tge wig with it parted like that? And dat black rubberband thang what u use it for 2 hold the wig in place please respohd to my comment.. btw you look very pretty
You do have some talent. I love all your videos. Whats the name of the tape you use underneath the part of the wig? Do you get your California lace wigs online? I live in Ohio and want one so bad.Thank you so much.
wow that did look crazy natural Im just getting into the wigs, I have natural hair and it just really needs a styling break!!! I have not brought any lace fronts yet but I think I might now that I have see this. I think I missed the point of the elastic band but I watched one of your other vids and your were saying you couldn't wear your wigs anymore because your hair had grown... so im assuming that was the reason. any how this was a good video....and yo make up was poppin!
How do you...figure out how much tape to use? do you measure from below your ears around to the other end and cut off four inches or something? Other than that. this is the best method I've found.
Hey girl I need to know where you got this coarse wavy because i LOVED the look of it straightened....perfect! I actually liked it before flat ironing too...but a curly would have had too much volume, so I NEED that coarse wavy!!! Thanks girl.
that looks amazing!! omg im 16 and saved for months for a full lace wig!! first time and its terrible. my skin had an allegeric reaction to the glue i tried tape and i have naturally oily skin so nothing stuck. im gonna try this method!! ive only had it for a week and i really dont want to see my money go to waste! mine came w/o adjustable srtaps. can u do a vid with it up in a high pont tail?? i have to wear it up for work.
You can purchase the elastic bands from your local Walmart in the fabric department, or if you have a hobby lobby or craft store, they sell elastic bands in all lengths and widths.
OMG! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR THIS YOU HAVE MADE MY MORNING, I AM GOING TO TRY THIS TONIGHT. HOW DO I PLACE THE CLIPS WHEN SEWING THEM? PLEASE CHECK OUT MY CHANNEL IF YOU HAVE SOME TIME LOVE, GOD BLESS;-)
how do you keep your stocking cap on..i have braided my hair in cornrows and my cap still slips sometimes...i dont like tape...and i do use wigs with combs and clips
@NataliaARose i think....so dont quote me i think it might if the cap isnt stretch. from her pics it looks like there is a little bit of stretch in the cap.
Hi thank you for your suggestions, can you pls tell me where you purchased the band as well as the tape for the part. Also if you can include how I should to put my make up on the tape and if it makes a difference on liquid makeup or powder. thanks again for helping us look our best!
Please tell about the unit (type of hair, etc.) and where to purchase the items you mentioned to achieve the glueless application. I am fed-up with part of my glued installation coming apart 24 hours after applying. I want to try the glueless option also can you give a "how to" or "step-by-step" in converting my full lace unit? you should be able to find it around a store with sewing things..needles, thread etc...maybe even in a craft store...try walmart...maybe even walgreens in the home section..but always look near the thread and needles
cut a piece and sew each end onto the wig, below the ear area...(hope that makes sense) What it does is pull the wig tighter to the head and helps it lay very flat..
Hey meechie love you girl please come back and do more videos you are away to long Also have you thought of selling some of your old wigs you could have a great sale if you do please let me know
Girrrrl, this is a VERY helpful video! Thanks for all of the good tips. Your part looked so natural that I thought some of your hair was out also. You do a fantastic job at making wigs look very natural!
Wow... That wig is Beautiful and sooo natural look'n!! I thought you had some of your hair out. (What is the exact name of that wig??) I'm new to the weave and wig deal but really love the look.
So wait this is basically like those synthetic wigs with the adjustable straps? It's just that you sow a band on a full lace that doesn't have the straps. Nothing special really.
Hey Meechie, I bought the ghost bond adhesive, and I used it on my first full lace wig. Its not custome made to fit my head but I notice that the temple area lefted. I tied it I didn't even comb through the wig the next day it still lifted. Now the hold in other areas is super tight, but I was wonder could it be the lace on the wig or, the fit, or my temples. I even used glue with the gh and it still lifted. Do you have any suggestions? I will also try the no glue way as well.
Thanks for the insight!!! This vid is so helpful! I am one of the many that chooses not to use glue or tape due to hair loss. And for these reasons I have opted out of purchasing full/whole lace wigs. But since you have shown me that I can, you have really opened up that option! Again, I thank you so much. God bless1
Wow!! Unbelievable... That was NOT a wig! that was a magic trick. You need to stop fooling people! That had to have been the most natural hairline and part I have seen in a long time... I have gotta subscribe thank you Gbaby779!
I have been waiting for a solution. I have a full lace wig that is kinky straight and I have never worn it cause I did not want to glue or tape. I have some questions. I am not sure where to place the wide band or where to buy it from. How many clips do you use and where should I sew them?
Hello! Wonderful video. I am really anxious to know how have you managed to have a wig last for 3 years??? I am really struggling having a wig for more than 2 months. I buy really good wigs, yet I encounter a lot of shedding in the front right after a month of having them. PLEASE HELP!!! lol
That is a great idea. I have one question. When you put the wig on, where is the elastic band supposed to siton your head? Is it the nape area or ponytail area?
Hi im a.need sub to your chsnnel muffismylover put me on to u in 1 of her vid can u please do a vid showing how u sew in the clips.and band please thans.u
Hey Meechie, I love this glue-less method, I'm allergic to bonding glues and tapes, so I can't use them. I saw SongBirdDiva4Life do a tut on this method.
Thanks for the info. Also you are so Glamorous! I love your style!! I subscribed, and I'll check back with you later!
OMG!!! Beautiful method!!!!!!!!! Muffinsismylover (aka April) recommended your vid on the method. One question though: when you are putting on the wig with the elastic sewn on, do you pull the elastic all the way to the back or just sit it on over the wig cap in the middle of your head? I dont know how to explain what I mean
@myzzio Thanks girl, The elastic should fall near you nape for a secure fit. I know it is hard to explain but maybe that will help. I am seeing more vids now on this and they show more pics and info. Let me know it that makes sense.
@MSJAZZIE1 I don't know if this will help, but I just use some Target thick no slip head bands: Goody StayPut Womens Secure Fit Headbands in black and cut to fit and those worked great for me...(I didn't even bother to sew, I just slapped in a small safety pins to each side to try it, that worked great too!)
thank u for sharing but I have a question, does it work with/without the stocking cap? and what if the person have thin sides or not much or no hair, will this method still work? and i like this method because it keeps the sides from breaking off from all the glue and tape
Hi! This has to be one of the most natural lookin lace wig applications I have seen. You hair look amazing!!! Can u please tell me where I can purchase the wig clips and elastic online the actual website. Thanku xoxo
Hi you don't have to go through the hassel of covering the tape with makeup any more as you can now buy (Skin tone / flesh colour / tan Micropore surgical tape) from an ebay seller called: homeopath-online...
PS: The wigs looks so natural on you luv it
And thanks for this vid this glueless method is much more kinder to the hair
I am new to your channel and your hair is too cute! lol i liked the zebra print in the background too. But you said you had your wig for three years!?! It still looks brand new. Do you wear it often? And how do you know where to place the elastic band? I will be buying my full lace unit next week and I LOVE this no glue/tape method!!! Girl you had it on there snug too! I cant wait to try it! Thanks!!
@poeticlovee It is very snug.....I dont wear any wig too often. I am in regular rotation of these wigs. I place the band underneath the ear tabs and measure the elastic to my head. I hope this better explains it, but I am uploading a vid to better explain. Thanks for watching!!!
Meechie, that tape on the cap with the bare mineral foundation is genius! Your part looked so natural, and now I can put a deep part in and have it look real. Thanks also for the tip of using thick elastic instead of the thin kind. I'm currently shopping for my first lace front, and am so glad muffinismylovers put a link to your tutorial and gave you that shout-out. I'm definitely subscribing.
thank you so much Meechie this worked out perfect I put my newest unit on using this method and I am loving it cause I get tired of bonding the full lace wigs down and I used your method on putting tape on my wig cap along with makeup it was perfect thank you so much and loving those earrings you are rocking as well SMOOCHES

@MSJAZZIE1 I don't know if this will help, but I just use some Target thick no slip head bands: Goody StayPut Womens Secure Fit Headbands in black and cut to fit and those worked great for me...(I didn't even bother to sew, I just slapped in a small safety pins to each side to try it, that worked great too!)

thank u for sharing but I have a question, does it work with/without the stocking cap? and what if the person have thin sides or not much or no hair, will this method still work? and i like this method because it keeps the sides from breaking off from all the glue and tape
naturalgirl75 1 year ago
@naturalgirl75 A cap helps but is not a must have. But it does provide a more natural look. This method would work even better without hair!

Why the tape? what does that do, is it for sticking or to make the pod look natural?

I love this. Subscribed! I'm going to convert some of my wigs since I'm snowed in. LOL
trj1922 1 year ago

Thanks!!
poeticlovee 1 year ago
