Nice! Hows your XS at highway speeds? Mine has stock gearing and sprockets and it shakes the crap out of ya at higher RPMs.

@thunzie these xs650s blow at high speeds unless you like having your teeth rattled out of your head. Hence the trip we are planning is generally off major highways in exchange for slower, scenic routes.

@electricchurch666 MikesXS sell a 5th gear mod which they say helps a bit, but the cases have to be split to do it.
